Been replaying Mirror's Edge lately and I've noticed that occasionally some levels have really, really bright, bloom-like, surfaces to the point where it's just blinding. Lowering the brightness and contrast doesn't help the issue.
Anyone know what else I could do to fix the issue?

Anon, please, no shilling.
There's no way to turn down bloom in the options?
reshade/sweetfx and adjust it to your liking.

No such thing in the options.

Yeah, that was going to be my last resort at any rate, I just wanted to exhaust all other options.
Try playing the first game instead of the beta
out of curiosity how bright is your monitor? is is it set to some retina shattering gamer mode?

Anon, I'm playing the first game.

It's actually not set to bright at all, I've lowered it quite a bit on my own.

Yeah, I figured as much.
It's not as fucked up as the Syndicate reboot though.

It's kinda weird how the old one looks as good as the new one, even better in some sshots.

The new one doesn't look good at all, besides that cylindrical electronic billboard area which looks cool as fuck
