First try, a couple mission restarts before moving on to the virus to improve time after roaming around and listening to conversations and learning certain item locations. How's everyone enjoying Sapienza so far? I think it's pretty damn good, and after some nervous hiccups in Paris.

Honestly, I'm loving it so far. Don't care for it being episodic, but it's better than Absolution
>>
>>335663868
I could care less if this flops. I just wanted to think I'm going to get my shekels worth after Paris. I didn't like some ideas especially the Suit and Silverballer being such a far into unlock. And some shitty gritty taticool autopistol at the last unlock.

Why would I spend money on some Episodic Dead-on-arrival piece of shit, especially after Shitman Absolut turd
>>
>>335664190
Well for starters, it's definitely better than Absolution, it tries a little too hard to try and be a modern Blood Money but it's definitely a step in the right direction. I don't really approve challenge unlocks and the first month had horrible optimization across all ports.

It's excellent.

But the gun unlocks are COD-tier garbage and it feels a little too short.

I would prefer the Blood Money customization system where they give an M4 for example and you can customize it any way you want. The Agency guns are ugly and the customization are exaggerated, it's not something a sharp hitman like 47 would use.

Very disappointed with the performance issues.

I can run Witcher 3 at Ultra with almost 60 frames max with Nivida hairworks on.

But god forbid, twenty frames even on medium in Hitman.

It's a damn shame thought it was a quality episode.
>>
>>335667908
It's used to make her do sever stops around the mansion where you COULD kill her. Give her the DNA sample wearing the Psychologist disguise and she'll eventually make a stop several points on the upper floor. You have a major opportunity in her office, you can garrote her when the inside guard makes short walk away then back.

Console users received Map + patch.

We PC users have been testing this patch for a week already and it broke the game instead of fixing it. Back music is gone, subduing an NPC near a wall results in it dying for no reason.

But on consoles it seems to be ok. They added a holstering animation, the gun doesn't disappear from 47's hands anymore like in Absolution.

>>
>>335670476
Pretty sure that only happens because the game doesn't have a melee system beyond the QTE animation, so the guard can't try to tackle you to the ground or try to wrestle you down to forcefully throw you out of trespassing areas.

Come to think of it they could add a running charge animation for guards so that if you're unarmed and they don't know you're dangerous but you ignore orders they'll try and charge tackle you to the ground, and the QTE button could be used to dodge the tackle, except it wouldn't slow down time so that if a guard charged you from behind and you didn't see him time wouldn't slow down and he'd get you.
>>
>>335671248
>>335671161
Still it would go more than just "sir your not supposed to be here" immediately into *Bang bang bang bang bang*
they should have made that shit escalate if you are caught trespassing and ignore them so it would go something like this

>try to subdue you you physically to try to force you out/whatever
>then empty their entire clips into you

That plus some opportunities, like getting Dr.lafayette disguise, finding the detective or the flower delivery stuff. But yes, i bet it's aimed at contracts and escalation.

>Whatever happened to each map having two missions?

I don't even remember when they mentioned it, but apparently it's not happening. So the game will probably have only 6 levels, only another 4 maps to go.
>>
>>335674961
I haven't played around with contracts on the new one but that shit was essential in absolution and what made contracts so damn fun.

This was their earlier release plan. They expected to get Paris, Sapienza, and Morocco out in March with six campaign missions.
>>
>>335664661
I disagree. I think the map has so much depth that even with only two targets (well, three, really), it feels great to explore every nook and cranny and there's a lot of shit you can do.
>>
I seriously hope it doesn't just end in December and that we'll get the long deserved St.Petersburg level.
>>
>>335676139
>they'll keep making maps into 2017

But that'll be another $60. So basically another game. Expect they will profit much more.

>>335676169
Oh right. Maybe once they release Marrakesh, then there will be revisits to Paris and Sapienza, but i think it would feel out of place. Maybe they realized that it would feel out of place for 47 to be revisiting a museum and a coastal town where he already murdered the wealthiest guy in the city.
>>
Is Silvio silent for anyone else? He basically never says anything. I guess that may be in-character, but I'm just wondering if he's bugged out or something.

If you do the psychiatrist session with Caruso he teases the guy about smothering his mother before smothering him with a pillow, he definitely has a deadpan sense of humour in this game. It's like the aircraft assassination in the training mission, even the actors break character over what an ABSOLUTE MADMAN you are for pulling that stunt off, he definitely enjoys killing and it's in-character for him to do stuff overly elaborately.

As for living like a vagrant, that's his personal choice, he gets paid enough to live in 4-5 star hotels full-time, I think that's what the other ICA agents do.

I did my first run on Sapienza and took 2 hours just to get acclimated with everything, improvising my kill with De Santis and fucking up my kill with Caruso. Ended up pretty well though.

Is there any other way to destroy the virus? I did the obvious choice of raising temp and that took an unnecessary amount of effort. Any more subtle ways?

>Added an audio layer for Sapienza that will play native ambient dialogue in crowded areas.
https://hitman.com/news/sapienza-trailer-release-notes

This also applies to Paris.

Near crowds you can hear it. On that balcony near the auction where Margolis goes to drink, you can clearly hear French words being spoken.
>>
Map is great, but this hit was poorly designed. Its trivially easy even on your first try, and most runs will be done without visiting 70% of the map. They should put the female scientist target out on the town going through shops, the main guy in his villa, and the lab should have been located under the morgue, instead of under the mansion.
>>
>>335691650
Not him but there is Italian voices in Sapienza but I'm not sure about Paris. Some say they patch french voices few days ago.
>>
>>335691650
Incorrect. Heard some near the gelateria.
Haven't checked Paris since the update though.
>>
>>335691584
>>335691650
Not him, but I can confirm that there's both French chatter and Italian chatter. You can hear it very clearly on the place outside where the woman you need to kill in France goes to drink and there's the wife of Rico Delgado.

As for Italian chatter, it's heard constantly throughout the streets between the church and the mansion.

Plus, there's that radio with the Italian football announcer.

Also, fun thing that happens: In the meat house, sometimes the person that visits the dude to ask for meat is American and he barely understands Italian so you see both actors acting out not understanding each other as if they're speaking different languages (Despite the fact they're both speaking English)

I thought they were gradually fixing the auto-save stutter, but apparently the lack of music is what had reduced the stutter, now that it's fixed it's stuttering like hell.

They show him killing the strip club owner from Absolution in the montage cutscene, it's canon.
>>
>>335695889
47 had his barcode back by the end of Absolution for no reason in particular.

Also, they showed it on the opening cinematic as a past of 47 just like they did with the other games.

It's canon but they're clearly focusing more on referencing the other games that weren't as controversial.

With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a cameo of Victoria in one of these cutscenes.

I would love if the final target was her.

They've already confirmed Liam Neeson is the supervillain and the player won't face him in the missions we're getting in 2016. So it would be cool to finish 2016 by eliminating her and therefore erasing Absolution.

How did you guys kill them both with a single cannister?

I knocked them out, dragged them to the same room, and blew it up killing both of them, but didn't get the challenge. I'm guessing there is some scripted way you are supposed to do it.
>>
>>335698257
One bug I noticed back when I was doing some Vampire Magician challenges was that if you knocked someone out and then exploded something by them, it wouldn't count as an explosion, and sometimes, it wouldn't even kill them.
This was before Sapienza, though.
>>
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the bug where you knock out someone and they "die" only works like that if you pacify them with choking.

If you hit them with a hammer or a wrench, they always survive, in my experience.

I have to say I'm loving the area and conversations, how it looks and so on. But mechanically this shit is bugged as hell and I cant believe it made it past the testing stage. Paris was relatively bug-free except for the constantly returning "crime spotted" bug where someone on another floor sees what you did on another floor somehow.

Bugs I have encountered so far in Sapienza:

- Certain guards and people die when you choke them out, no matter what you do.
- Crime spotted bug is back in high gear.
- I completed the mission first time without killing anyone but the targets, but 47 ran over a citizen during the escape cutscene with the car and thus I had one kill.

Not even kidding, I went to the white car to escape and he ran over a jaywalker making me lose points.
Not a huge deal since my score was shit anywat from using 2 hours just for exploring, but really that seems like a bug that should have been fixed early on.

But honestly, great mission visually, and probably many interesting ways to kill the targets.
Destroying the virus was annoying since I had to knock pretty much every hamza suit guy out which took a long time, but there is probably some better way to do it that I didnt spot.
>>
>>335699004

No. Like 70% of the team, including the project leads, left Eidos after Blood Money and made their own studio. They released a few shitty mobile games, and their first PC game comes out later this year. Its a multiplayer shooter, don't remember the name though.
>>
I always hated these kinds of missions in Hitman, even in Blood Money, where they ask me to go do something.

The something-to-do part always takes way too much of your time and can only be solved in like two or three ways, unlike the targets where you can fuck around with them a lot more.

I get that it makes the mission harder (and cooler on first playing) but damn it, it pisses me off.

Actually, only 5 people left IO to make Rotor-Moto or whatever the name is. So it's like 10% at best. A lot of the people working on Hitman 6 have been with the series since Blood Money, at least, and quite a few of them since Codename 47.
>>
>>335699764
What gun did you use? I shot from the building with the laptop. I was even wondering if I just missing, so I tried shooting the lab techs through the glass and that didn't work either.

Using the suppressed sniper rifle from Paris.

The easiest way is to just get a bodyguard uniform, get them alone, and shoot them point blank with the sniper rifle.

Because of the retarded hide bodies requirement, it is way too impractical to shoot them from far away.

Also the mirror reflection is on the wrong side. In Absolution, 47 shoots the pimp inside a secret room for filming the strip tease, so 47 is behind the one-way glass, the reflective side towards the pimp.

Delgado from A Vintage Year is also sitting in a much more luxurious balcony than the one in the game.

So yeah, the entire cinematic was made to look cool.

When you think about it, episodic release is the reaction to the bloated pre-order culture games have nowadays. When people have been burned time and time again on pre-ordering shit the only way to get them to stop buying GOTY editions years down the line is to break the game up into small chunks, lowering the price of entry. I bought the intro pack and got into the beta because it was $15, I wouldn't have risked it if they were selling the game for $60 after the shitshow of Absolution.

This level is definitely a lot harder than the previous one
>Two bodyguards per target instead of one
>No incredible disguises that work anywhere
>The virus sequence that is required for the mission to complete

Inb4 the mission in Africa has three bodyguards per target.
>>
I'm having a lot of fun with the game but I must admit, it does kind of run like shit.
I have a 980Ti and I run at 1440p and even on medium it sometimes dips to 50.
>>
>>335703546

Could be. In Marrakesh your targets are a banker holed up inside an embassy that's under lockdown due to protestors outside and a military general. Both will probably have guards on another level than rent-a-cops.
>>
>>335703546
butler one is pretty strong for the mansion (few guard and some staff can see you through though) and hazmat for the lab, but yeah, can't do all in one disguise like in paris

Not buying shit until they finish all the levels and remove always online for a fucking singleplayer game

Hey, the trailer shows the target in the laboratory as someone completely different.

not going to happen, they admitted many times that they basically did build game around it

That are some "unfortunate" early retirements
>>
The stupid online only thing keeps disconnecting me. It's pissing me off. I haven't even played through Paris because I get disconnected and sent back to the menu. If I leave it in offline mode, I can't earn everything. It's dumber than Steam DRM

Apparently the hazmat suit is OP as a disguise, someone in this thread mentioned it too I believe.

The virus thing to seems to be tacked on rather integrated. If I could do that as a challenge/opportunity then cool, but I don't want to spend an extra hour having to kill some damn virus.

I'm sure raging over inane bullshit but being a hypocrite when it comes to something that matters like this shit is more productive.

>an extra hour
It takes less than five minutes to get the shit from the morgue, enter the bunker, activate the killswitch, and leave.
>>
>>335704663
it's $15 (US) for the intro pack. If you don't like it then you don't waste that much money compared to full $60 game.

Online features include contracts made by players, but i don't really delve into it; the content is astounding and takes up all of my playtime on this game.

Pirate it if you want, but from online drm might prevent you from playing the game.
>>
The game now looks and runs worse than before the patch.

Why IO?
>>
>>335705057
so uh
the only online features, for this online platform, is player contracts? ntohing else?
>>
>>335704982
Bullshit. Takes at least 10 to get there from how huge the map is, another 5-10 to get to the area which they keep it in, and another 10 to kill the thing in whichever method you chose. (Except dongle from scientist?)

That shit takes effort and time, which I enjoy, but rather it be a challenge/opportunity than a main mission.
>>
>>335705531
Both of you are exaggerating.

You're a retard.
>start mission in morgue
>wait for lady scientist to come in
>strangle her
>steal her shit
>steal the suit
>run through beach
>take the back entrance into the cave
>put dongle into laptop
>leave
I literally just did it; took me 6 minutes total.
>>
>>335705418
well considering the fact that the game is about assassinations, you don't really need a team deathmatch or capture the flag mode in it.

And considering the that the game comes with many side contracts and A LOT of ways to tackle main contract, "Online features" are something I don't really pay attention to.
>>
>>335706191
im not talking about that
im talking about like online features motherfucker

Then I don't know what you're asking. You play the game online, you complete the main contract, you unlock shit so you can tackle the main contract differently, game includes a slew of side contracts that you can mess around with that unlocks more shit to tackle the main contract with, and player contracts are a whole other thing altogether.

Elaborate online features if you're still unsatisfied.

>No incredible disguises that work anywhere

The bio-suit is pretty damn OP. There are like 4 people who can see through it, and they are all in the labs.

And this level is a lot easier than Paris. Paris took more over an hour to beat my first time. This mission took me exactly 13 minutes.
