I still like Kiryu a lot but after Saejima and Akiyama have proven the series can have better protagonists I'm hoping the series moves on. I'd like if we kept the multiple protagonists gimmick so then I get good characters and my blank slate Kazzy tank fix.

I don't hate Kiryu coming back again and again, but I don't really see any story arcs left for him. I kind of wish he'd just taken over the Ryudo in Okinawa so he could stay a gangster on his own terms.

I'm a fan of the series but playing all the games is fucking endless butthurting adventure. Sometime they localize it, sometimes not. Sometimes you have to wait for years, some other time, it just won't come in the West. When it does, they only translate the game in English.
Also, when are they gonna let Kiryu have a rest ? It's time to change the protag and go for a new fresh and young one.

I love Kiryu but I don't know any other series in the video game world with a serious setting (not like Mario, Zelda, ...) that used the same MC so much. And I mean, the guy deserves a rest too.
And they put a different protag in the PSP games and they looked nice and got their popularity from what I read somewhere.
My fucking wet dream is that they would take all the mechanics and maps of the Yakuza games and makes one where you're playing a teenage delinquent and have to conquer other schools and shit. God damn, how awesome would that be.
