Uchigatana is so perfect I can't believe it.
The stance moves are just too strong. The dash goes under every horizontal attack in the game for that sweet counter damage and its wide enough to clear out crowds. The parry is 10x easier to use than the default and it makes those mini-dancer enemies a piece of cake.

I unknowingly started my playthrough with a shield that didn't have a 100% physical block and somehow didn't find one until several hours in. It forced me to take risks and learn to manage my rolling, timing, and stamina in a really positive way.
Once I finally got a good shield, the game's difficulty plummeted and wasn't the same. Not that you shouldn't use every tool at your disposal, but I think everyone would benefit from learning to play without one just to learn those skills because it's really rewarding when you succeed without.

I'm not one for gossipy bullshit but a while back Woolie said they are all fairly independent of each other work wise, which goes to show how terribly managed they are. Woolie had to be the one to step up and buy audio equipment for them. The were literally fine with garbage tier audio and were going to continue to be fine with it until Woolie got butthurt that the podcast was getting flak for shit audio every week.
They really take all of this for granted, when it starts tanking they are going to be royally fucked because they lack the work ethic to actually put in the time and effort to try and fix things.
