Jet has this kind-of useless move done by holding up and tapping B. It flips the enemy in the air. It acts kinda similarly to Shuttle Loop on the Wing ability. Additionally, the non-fully-charged grab move launches enemies a significantly farther distance, making it good for tossing stars at bosses.
All of Smash's old moves return, but now Dashing and pressing (or holding) B will do Kirby's Side Smash. In addition, Side Smash and Hammer Flip can now be charged. He also has a grab, similar to ninja.

I love this game, guess i'll buy it. Why can't nintendo give all their IP's the kirby treatment. theirs literally not a single bad kirby game. even most if not all the spinoffs were good. Is it because the game is simple to make, that makes it easier for them to make quality titles?. Gimmicks shouldn't be an excuse because kirby typically takes good advantage of gimmicks like tilt n tumble and canvas curse. My only complaint with the game isthat they force only a handful of abilities for the mech, i was psyched to see the mech with other abilities like circus, whip, leaf, crash and such, but it only has ESP/Spark/Fire/ice/Jet/Wheel/Stone/Bomb/Beam/Sword/Mic/Umbrella/Cutter versions. Still a good selection, but i feel like abilities we're forced to a small selection per stage. Taking away from the freedom you typically have with abilities as kirby.

Because most Kirby games are made by HAL and they're the most based of all studios under Nintendo. They won't push shit unless they know it works and doesn't mess with the flow of fun any way. It's a bit overly safe, but if it doesn't lead to good results. This is why there's still no true 3D Kirby yet, but now they're testing waters with the side game.

As a kid I never got to 02 and heard this and 02's theme in the soundtest. I knew I needed to get the last crystal (The one you need Rock Rick to get on Aqua Star) but never figured out how until I replayed it when I was 13.I thought that song played in a fucked up version of the castle and 02's theme was for a corrupted ribbon

Overly safe? maybe. But it's exactly what we need. Strangely enough most of nintendos "innovation" ruins games instead of improving on the base formula. Don't get me wrong, super mario 3d world/land we're great, but their no substitute to mainline 3d games as an example. It's great to innovate, but do so as a side project, dont replace the main appeal of the game with a gimmick. Before super paper mario their should have been a paper mario 3, before federation force their should have been a new 2d metroid. Before 3d land they should have made a new mainline entry for the wii u. (mild passing grade as galaxy 2 came in late). Watch them make F-Zero Adventures before we get another racing game. HAL's based for never retiring the mainline sidescrolling kirby games even when producing quality spinoffs that reinvent and reimagine the series.
