As I said, the guide has been made to point out every detail, and get rid of as many "What If's" as possible, and it's updated quite a lot.
It's even to the point where each Part is standalone, and it'll tell you EVERYTHING you need at the start, even if you already have it from a previous Part.
As long as you read everything the guide says, especially anything in bold, you should be safe.
If for some weird reason, something does differ from the guide, you can always stop and ask /hbg/ for help.

I played online with an NA pirated copy of Triforce Heroes on my nip 3DS for like 15 hours with a fucking moonrunes name and I had no fucking problems.

You must upgrade from update system on system configuration ONLY, and only when its confirmed by those in the know to be safe to upgrade.
To block autoupgrading, you just use the tubehax dns for you internet connection, check smeg's hbc page to learn how to use it.

You might as well install arm9loaderhax so you never have to bother with this stuff ever again. Follow https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki and since you have rxtools you can skip to Part 4, just downlaod the 2 key .bins from Part 3 first.
Once you're done setting up A9L and Luna3DS you can delete rxtools/emuNAND and free up a gb of space from your sd.
