True as this may be, I think the reason I like the live format is that, as long as I'm not by myself and I actually have someone to interact with, I am kinda forced to not overthink how shitty I may look or how dumb things may be. If I were to do say, a Youtube video, I would have to sit there and review it over and over and at some point I'd be like "Yeah this is shit and I look like a retard and I'm fuckin' ugly. I'm not gonna upload this." And then I'd just never do it and give up. So being live sort of forces ,e to not overthink those things and just do it. Again, provided I'm not alone. If I'm talking to someone (be they a talkshow guest, players in my game, or people in chat), I'm not as awkward. But when I have no one to talk to or interact with? Using a format that you're more comfortably with instead of forcing yourself to do what you aren't is a smart decision to me, many people end up giving up on projects and ideas due to the fact that they probably tried to force themselves into doing something they didn't even liked to begin with.
Also, maybe you will improve your performance on camera over time. This kind of stuff is all about practice and desire for self-improvement, you probably just need to practice and get more confident while you're streaming. I would recommend reading a little about some tricks that you could do to have more presence, charisma with the audience. Trust me, it actually works on some level if you actually put what you read into practice
