Well if you have a place to stay already, preferably free, You can always do a call center job. All you need is your computer and a home phone. My younger brother plays dark souls 3 at the same time while working. You just take orders and fill them in.

feels gud to have a comfy job. i'll get a 2-3% raise each year, and have the chance to take the HR directors spot if I'm there for about 4-5 years and she wants to retire. She makes 80k/year.

Anyway, that's what I'm working towards. If I don't get her job, I'm sure I can find something else by then.

I feel like this this says a lot about something important
>>
>>335365561
It's all about routine, friend.

You feel like shit with any less than 7 hours because you're so used to it. I was the same, so I slowly started cutting down the hours I slept, eventually I got the the point where I could go 16 hours awake without feeling tired, 18-20 hours before I felt really tired, all on 5 hours of sleep a night. It took me about a month to get to this point though.
>>
>>335365294

Then how come;

>have more money than i know what to spend it on

Sounds like there's wiggle room there. Hell I only work 30 hours a week and I still put $250 a month into savings.

It maybe says something about where he lives, to be honest.

Here in Iceland, people suffer maybe like 2-10 life threatening injuries a month (maybe even less), and if EMTs aren't off ferrying soon-to-be-dead people, they're usually just picking up some dumbass that broke his leg.

As a result, I can imagine there being a lot of downtime.

I work IT, 10 hour work days, but I only work Monday through Thursday. Work days I'm definitely too beat to play, or I just can't stand being in front of a computer any longer. Those three days is when I do most of my gaming. I got promoted not too long ago, so I'm making $42 an hour. Thankfully I work at a place that requires high security clearance, and they're not willing to take the jobs offshore. Other IT place around town are getting cut like crazy though. Kind of scary.

There isn't any secret, i inherited a bunch of estate, i could sell it but decided to rent it out since i would just spend the burst ton of cash on stupid shit, this way its a constant income.

I pay all my bills etc, sometimes i need to go fix shit but its very rare, my tenants are usually alright, i go collect money each month, all is well.

Sometimes it gets boring, but sure as fuck beats wageslaving for a lot less cash, so i'm okay with that.

Technically its only three but the last month is literally just giving revision work in class and correcting end of term tests at home for most of it, which is such piss easy busywork that I count it as essentially time off.

I've tried, but I lack the drive and self discipline.
I have crippling ADHD, and I've been without meds since the middle of high school since they became way too expensive.

What usually happens is I'll end up sitting in front of an editor for five minutes trying to figure out how to do the shit I want to do, before growing bored and shifting to looking at /v/ or porn or some shit. This pretty much happens with anything that requires concentration for me.

This. The afternoon crash will come and go. If you can sneak some alchohol with your caffeine, it's a huge help. I used to work real estate from 8AM to midnight 5 days a week and get about 3 hours of sleep. Around noon-2ish, I'd get sluggish and have a hard time keeping my eyes open. One fireball and redbull later, I'm back on my A game.

OP is right, though. Before I got a job I had so much time to play video games to the point I could go Pro. When I got a job I figured I'd be the same, but having a job really makes you lazy when it comes to video games.

>Work 8 hours/5days a week/8pm - 5pm
>Get home at 6pm
>Eat = 30min - 1 hour
>Bath = 15 - 30min
>Browse the web/someone interesting happens like a game announcement or something = ???
>Need to do anything else = ???

By the time you finish all of that and get to the video games you 1 - 3 hours to game and then it's time to go to fucking bed and get ready for work.

I live in the United States and Im on neetbux (SSI- supposed to be a income for the mentally disabled), and I work 2 9hour days a week at minimum wage ($9.75).
On neetbux alone, Id be making $650/mo, but with my job I make roughly a thousand a month.
And my rent and other bills usually only come out to be $375, maybe $400 a month.

If I didnt have SSI, Id have to roughly work fulltime (roughly 40hrs/w) to make the same amount.
Im also doing it safely and legally by telling Social Security how much I make a month.

My only fear is in a few years theyll do a checkup to see if I still deserve SSI (Pretty much check Im still retarded). Ill just have to act awkward as fuck and itll be fine though.

I have a similar problem. I've recently got a job at an ice cube factory and while the pay is low for a starting job, at least I have some money to spend on my hobby. The problem is I come back home so tired that I can't muster any strength to do anything besides browsing the internet until late at night and it's not been a good week, health-wise.

How do you reconcile work and your hobby without becoming a complete wage slaver and find will to play video games in your free time instead of just browsing the internet?

I live right down the street from my job and groceries are a 20 minute walk away.

I have a college degree but all of the jobs I ever saw for it had offices that are either 1.5 hours of bus-ride both ways, or would require a car and that's still a half hour both ways.

No way am I doing an hour+ of commute for work. I'd rather work for $18 an hour for a 10 minute commute.

Because we have a fucking lot of them
Admittedly, many of us we're slapped in the face by fate, but hey, that's life

We have to do our best to make do anyways

I'm away from home, on average, something like 12-15 hours every day. Yet I still play games. You just have to make time for it. Or change how you go about it.

For example, I have a PSP filled with PS1 classics, and I play on lunch break, or in bed at night. I also have a laptop I use for games, and do basically the same thing.

You just have to use your brain, anon.

You don't just get them delivered? Honestly, it costs me a dollar to have someone pick out my groceries for me, and then drive them to my fucking house.
