I found these guys way harder than Aldritch. Both involve just staying on the boss's ass but this guy could actually defend himself when you were next to him. Aldritch I beat third try, this guy took me something like 6 or 7 goes.
Hardest part was the homing shits in second phase. Avoiding those while also avoiding the sword attacks was very hard since you couldn't just spam dodge the sword.

tfw I'm SL 60, but I rushed for combat stats and my stamina and HP are terrible. I also tend to use my cooperation sign to get a feel for areas, which is why I'm so over leveled.
I guess I'll give it a shot after my laundry gets done. Seriously, though, that ballista is a dick. If I'm not directly behind a tree when it fires, I get curbstomped no matter how much I roll.
I'm convinced lothric high wall/lothric castle/grand archives/consumed kings garden as a whole has the best area design and best level design in the series
The bosses are all really good, with some fucking great music, the level design is phenomenal, the shortcuts are tremendous
Dragonslayer armour, lothric lorian, vordt, dancer and oceiros are all both fitting and competently designed, if you include champion gundyr and by extension untended graves, it's even better.

no, go in the other direction. Instead of going right after reaching the area, go left towards a set of stairs that leads to a boss room. Before you get there, you should see a giant worm pop out. Instead of going up the stairs towards the boss fight, go right and follow the hill into a small opening on the wall. follow that entire path, clearing out enemies, and you'll end up at the ballista.

Ornstein and the Black/Silver Knights obviously aren't humans though, they were made from Gwyn's Soul. I guess Ornstein is technically a God because of it, but I'm pretty sure the B/S Knights are just their own race.

The biggest thing is going to be the weapon I think. This is not a good game for big and slow, so they take a while and the fight can end up longer/more estus drain than it need be.

It's really weird to see all the other voice actors from other popular series have twitter accounts where they interact with communities and shit, and then you look for Dark Souls voice actors and they're ghosts. The secret to the bosses is that their largely still "big dude with big weapon", but every single one uses their personal weapon set differently.
DaS2, every knight boss has a closer, a three hit combo, a vertical power attack, and a wide horizontal sweep and that's basically it.
In 3, each boss has their own particular set of tools and spells they combine as though they actually had used those tools for a long time. Dragonslayer armour uses his shield and axe very differently from how Elder Prince uses his sword and teleport. Our how Pontiff uses his twin swords very differently for Dancer.

I beat Twin Princes, Champion Gundyr and the final boss each on my first try while solo.
Meanwhile fucking Wolnir killed me at least 10 times. The difficulty drops off pretty hard in the latter half of the game; most of the bosses after Sullivan are pretty simple. The only exception is Nameless King and that's mainly because he has Dark Souls 2-style targeted attacks with random roll-anticipation delay.

I beat all bosses up to him in one or two tries, except crystal sages. I actually died more to Lothric and Lorian, around 10 times, than NK who I beat in 4, and SoC who I beat 2.

Well Longswords are OP in this game. I have a heavy darksword and at 40 strength, it has the same attack rating. Everything died in my third character's playthrough with it. I'm actually glad I went for a greataxe build my first playthrough, since I would have just one shotted every boss late game with it.

I am not sure how you could find Deacons that hard.
Let's assume you don't use anything to make it easier(Alluring Skulls and the like shit on the boss easily)
If you have been upgrading your weapon of choice and it's at +3 or +4 you should be three shotting any of the guys in there.
If you use magic and such you'd have either a melee weapon of choice for it or a piercing spell.
Even in the second phase if you hit the Deacon he flinches no matter the weapon.
It just makes me really wonder how anyone can have a problem.
