Debatable, in the case of Fates it did sell great at launch because it was not scarce and hard to find like Awakening, that even had a wait list at some point due to it's underproduction, they never thought it would do that great.
As for Fates they actually had stock, but I doubt it will reach Awakening levels, or at least great sales expected from a IP that greatly grew in popularity, at least in my country, the game is shelfwarming and only the LE sold out to scalpers.
