I really liked this game. Had to abuse the fuck out of the RNG but collecting all of the end game armour, mixing jobs and fighting the legacy bosses was really fun to me.

I couldn't play past about 15 hours. Only playable characters and important NPCs being given 3d models felt lazy as fuck, and it had the worst case of "enemies take two hits to kill, level up, enemies take one hit to kill, enter a new area, enemies take two hits to kill, rinse and repeat" that I've ever seen in an RPG.
Also it was clearly made to played multiplayer, which fucks over anyone outside of Japan.

You only miss costume parts for previous DQ characters and you can't trade grotto maps if you don't have anyone close by.
dq has literally never been good.
