I just...you dont understand. I discovered this game back in 2006 when i was 18 and my home life was a wreck. I played the demo until it got deleted and then got the full game and for 2 years, it was all i did. Hunting for materials and boards, making weapons, checking the shops, prettying up my room, upgrading my cast in hunter and gunner classes and gear. This was the greatest game ive ever played and it helped me through a difficult time. it was so sad to see pso2 replace it. I want to go back and tear through S3 and 4 missions with my friends again

They literally just added Collection Filles you dumbass, and you can easily get a top-tier 13* weapon every 3-4 weeks through trading in Phantasmal Kagaseo stones. And I don't see the problem behind having the best gear be found in EQs. Every single MMO in existence has some form of gating preventing you from just endlessly farming for the best gear, whether it be requiring you to farm certain items to even enter, or having longass cooldowns between runs. "Play at a certain time" is easily one of the better ways of doing it.

This is exactly it. i had 3 characters at 180 and could keep playing because it always felt like there was something to do or an event was around the corner. I got hunter/bouncer/ranger/gunner to 75 in pso2 and just cant see any reason to continue. Im restricted as fuck unless i pay. the crafting is boring. end game revolves around grinding for a few stones to trade in for 13* rather than looking for boards or materials to sell or synth (moatoob materials were always pricey since few ran moatoob missions) and theres no PAs to grind out since you just find a disc and pop it in and thats it. I play pso2 once a year for the summer event because i like beach things but outside of that i cant stomach anymore.

The best thing about tokyo are the speed rings, many of the new enemies are unsatisfying to fight because they hardly flinch and the best strategy is just to spam your highest damage PA on their weak point if it happens to be open. If it isn't open it takes forever for them to die.
Tomato mining is a system straight out of a mobile game.
Bouncer and especially Summoner are awful classes that bring nothing to the subclass system, they're meant to be main classes.
Sega killed the subclass system further by introducing buffs when using main class weapons, further killing the main thing I enjoyed in ep2 and start of ep3.

not a single pso series game is good. fuck your stupid blue blast, i have tried the game on three different servers and none could fix the fundamentally broken game that is pso. its boring, its slow, combat is rng, teammates will constantly leave every ten minutes to feed their stupid fucking mags, the levels are literally copypasted boxes up to the end where you will fight the same boss at least twice before the end of the game which is only really three fucking episodes of four levels when you forget the god awful card game series that is episode 3. literally everything in the game knocks you back and it takes a good ten seconds to get up every time. you know what else? no strafing, you can only turn for that awful single joystick feeling. all combat boils down to standstillandshootuntildiez and then runpasttheslowasfuckenemiesandrepeat. none of the items are even interesting, they are all literally the same skins only with different damage. woooow this gun is purple and maybe has a third almost useless move not even fucking effective against half the enemies in the game for "balance"? players all focus on minmaxing because the game rewards that and not so much skill at all but i guess thats all mmo-lites. and speaking of the community, straight out of gaiaonline. emotes, poses, cosmetics, the most cancerous group of people i have ever witnessed in my life. you fags have no right to shit on later pso entries
