DEFINITELY halo master chief collection. (assuming you like shooters or have played halo) that's just a good deal.
Although i didn't enjoy the multiplayer myself because you can't choose which gamemode you want to play you have to vote (say you want capture the flag you have to wait and hope everyone votes for it) but there should be enough single player content across all games to keep you busy.

I never played it on Xbox but yeah I do agree the steam community was shit. The game plays much better on PC though and any PC can max it at 60fps. My fucking Macbook Air gets 60fps on the max settings with Intel integrated.
Sunset Overdrive. It's a great game. /v/ hates it, but then again they hate everything they can't play.

Ok seriously, I've been thinking of buying my cousin an XBone because he's an xboxfag and still hasn't upgraded to the newest generation, and probably won't get a good gaming pc unless I actually do it all for him. He loves halo and gears etc. and the MCC would bring back some great times of us in our carefree childhood days playing Halo 1 and 2 before the weight of the world snuffed our inner flames.
He also wants to play the Witcher 3, but after having it on my sweet rig I hear only the PS4 version is good on consoles? Is it worth it on XBone? Tentative game list:

Well I assume that used L4D2 can be fairly cheap used, plus it is harder to play with friends on a PC when most normies play together on a console. For me I have to play all multiplayer games on my Xbox One so I can play with my friends.

I think Witcher 3 is similar on the PS4 and XB1. Unless the newer patches change that. Check digital foundry, they should have up to date info on that.
Halo MCC is fun. Playing the older games is always fun. Halo 5 was disappointing though.
