NX is probably compatible with Unity and/or Unreal engine. Easy to make, easy to port. I could see them building a "nintendo universe core" asset collection too so they can reuse the basics for new games and only remake half the graphics from games to games.

All I know is that this gen proved that exclusives aren't the thing that sells consoles. People want their yearly COD, FIFA, PES, Madden, NBA, MLB, Ass Creed more than the exclusives and they want it on the console that shines the most and has the best online/most player base.
This article IMO is meaningless and Nintendo is going to have a hard time competing with the PS4K and probably a revised XBONE if the NX is only slightly better than what the current consoles offer.
It'll probably be a great console for Nintendo fans, more so than the Wii U but for everyone else, that still remains to be seen.

Reusing assets is hardly a bad thing in itself. The new Kirby is chock full of stuff taken from TD and the reaction around here is still very positive, for example.
