Probably Quest 64 but I still fucking loved it. Going back now it's nearly unplayable, it's pretty crazy how some N64 games aged so well, Q64 is definitely not one of them. The latest Dragon Age takes second place.
A tie between My World, My Way and Avalon Code for how goddamn boring and repetitive they were. And this is coming from someone who loved grinding in Tartarus in P3.

It was an rpgmaker game from tumblr and it was kind of hilarious when it wasn't the most mind numbingly grindy game I've ever played.
Like the "forshadowing" where Teagan leaves your party had a fantastic justification in the dev room at the end of the game. "You can tell she's a villain because she has the only right facing character portrait, symbolizing her right-wing views".

Well you have attacks that do HP damage and attacks that do LP damage. You have to drain all their LP in order to defeat them, and if I remember correctly, HP acts as a shield for LP but only as a percentage to not take the damage. Once they run out of HP, your HP attacks don't do shit. Also, your attacks are chosen with a slot machine-like mechanic. I don't recall if this mechanic is random or if you can time it, but I think it spun rather quickly.
I actually hated final fantasy IX. I hate monkeys and the little monkey dude ruined it for me. Almost every character was ugly as fuck and I just couldn't look at it. My favorite final fantasy was XIII. I don't know how I'm so opposite to everyone.

Probably Knights of the Old Republic 1 or Undertale.
Kotor has an unlikeable cast, shitty ass combat and a story with as much depth and entertainment value as an episode of GI Joe.
Undertale because it made choice & consequence hip for JRPGs and that's everything the game has going for. Also the forced meme-jokes didn't help.

It's similar to Resonance of Fate. You can start battering away at their LP to kill them if you have the might to muscle through it, but you can also shave off HP MUCH quicker with many HP attacks, but it won't kill them. Shaving off their HP wall means you can puncture their LP easier.
You could stop the roulette at specific times, but you definitely needed practice.

I can't remember what it was called, I only have traumatic memory burned into my brain for life.
It was a SNES game, some kind of pseudo RPG like half action/beat em up or some shit. I remember that you start in a town, the music was comfy af I remember it to the note even today it was the best part of the game 10/10 would listen to. I remember that the UI took up literally half the screen. After that you leave town and go to some fire place and fight your way to the first boss, a fire dragon/snake thing. The whole game is just shit though. I used to play it after school with this kid who's house I went to until my mom got off work and this was the only game he had.
