Demon King is a genuinely terrible fight. He's slow as fuck, and most of the fight is spent getting away from his AoE and his metoer shower that usually hits the mounds around the fight. It's boring.
Any boss fight that just dumps enemies or rains down damage off-screen making you run around or roll like an idiot is a bad boss fight. Not because it's hard, because it really isn't, but because it's a dull element of a fight considering you can't even fully appreciate the visual appeal.

I created the ideal setup for beating his ass. 30/30 Int Fai, Black Fire Orb. Deals 100% Dark damage, takes around 450 health away each hit, and you can cast it while out of his range very easily. He's a walk in the park, free 6,500 souls.

Demon King is easily the worst fight in the game. He's slow with easily telegraphed moves that are all easy to dodge. Most of the fight is spent running away from his fire ring and meteors and the only way he kills you if from the surprise massive explosion right before death.
