The Colossi are bugged and move twice as faster which makes hard time attack near impossible.

Harder to get a stable grip on the colossi so you constantly were slipping off. it made the game way more difficult and frustrating

and also messed up some draw distance stuff so the bridge looks fucked up from a distance

I still enjoyed the port and it was nice playing it at a framerate higher than the """"cinematic"""" fps of the original.

I played SotC and thought it was boring as hell. I don't care if I didn't "get it" but the world was drab, bland and lifeless. Also I can see the big TWEEST coming from the beginning of the game (he gets screwed over and it's all sad and you cry etc.) the one thing I liked are the colossi, even if the fights themselves weren't that impressive I liked the designs and how unique most of them were.

Is Ico any better? I've heard that game being very artsy too.

To all those saying git gud, that anon does have a point. I got the platinum for the game but the higher fps of this port actually means that when the colossi shake, Wander is stun locked for much longer as the game reads every movement rather than skipping out of frames.

Basically for the time trials the times are kept the same as the original when it should have been adjusted to account for this.

The game itself is wonderful in HD when you don't have to worry about any time constraints.

That's not really the twist but ok. SotC to me was just seeing what the next one was like. The fights themselves aren't hard but there's just such a nice variety to them that you want to push on. The world itself was beautifully put together as well despite it being empty. I feel like being empty is the point though.

I do prefer Ico but it's not for everyone. Combat isn't very good but it's more of a puzzler. I enjoyed the feeling of being able to see part of the castle I'd been to before from vista's later in the game. Similar to how Demon's Souls made me feel. Also being able to see the land as your goal in the distance but never quite being able to reach it gives it a great sense of dread and hopelessness.

This is actually how it was in the Japan and Europe version. US got the babby edition, but the remaster uses the same system as the original

Only really noticeable on a few colossi on the harder time attacks. When you can take breathers the games perfectly playable.
