I don't get it. It didn't feel that different from the original 2 to me. Still running around shooting demons and dodging fireballs.
My biggest complain is that the shotgun had way to much fucking spread and was basically a melee weapon.

No mods so even if it didn't look worse it's going to look fucking disgusting compared to doom 3 graphic mods, not to mention no game balance mods or extra levels available
Quick saving pauses the game for 5 seconds
Must have flashlight and weapon out at the same time which completely ruins the atmosphere of the game, but if you like that you can still mod it in to the original

Yeah it's an amusing game. It really drops in quality towards the end when you become a hulking death machine and it becomes a game of "wait for imp, turn around and kill imp, turn around and kill the new imp" with any actual danger but I guess this can be solved by higher difficulties.

I'm pretty sure this made me like the game more then if I played the original.
Makes it feel more like the original. The whole thing actually reminded me a bit of FEAR with the atmosphere.
