Asked in /vg/ but no one responded.
I just beat the game and was wondering what I should do. Should I make a new char from scratch? I wanted to try a new type of char. I know you can respec but I didn't do it before I went to NG and I don't wanna wait till (cathedral I think it is) I can do it.
I played through much of the game with a slow wep and then finally the pickaxe. Kind of looking for something fast and exciting or a caster, but not really sure how to go about it or if what I wanna do is even viable. New to series btw. Also fuck this nigger.

Did you do the optional areas?
Did you pick up all the extra items gestures?
Did you upgrade any interesting weapons or items to +9/+4 (or +10/+5 if you really like that weapon)?
Do these then either help people do the end-game bosses, pvp, or start NG+

I would just make a new character. NG+ isn't a big enough challenge to warrant fighting your ass all the way to the cathedral to respec. Reroll and try something unique. I'm having fun with my all luck build.

I was considering doing that but I'm too much of a newb to figure out what is worth using. I tried pyromancy but the only spells I got we slow and did pretty weak damage considering.
Are sorceries better? Miracles? maybe I can fist some nerds with caestus and use like 0 armor.

I've just been wrecking nerds with the Uchigatana. I put enough stats into dex to use it and I can't get enough int or faith to use any magic when every single other point goes into luck.

are pure casters even good? or is that kind of a pipe dream considering the slow nature of spells and mobility of mobs and players?

No. Casting is designed to be an offhand for when your enemy tries to range you out, in most cases, in other cases, it's for utility.

is there any viability in doing some sort of hybrid stuff? I know you can scale weapons with int or faith, so should I just run around with a chime or staff in offhand and one of those weps in mainhand?
