Is there an actually decent reason for someone to develop for the Dreamcast in 2016?
>>
>>334989993
Commercially? Nope.
>>
Just wanting to? It's like the people that develop games for NES and SNES. There's a certain novelty to it, nostalgia associated with the console, and getting to know how and why the console works that way must be fun, right?
>>
To tell the world you're a cunt.
>>
>>334989993
It's fun to develop for old consoles with hardware limitations.
>>
>>334989993
They have nothing else to show for their career and think that developing for an old console will give them cred.
>>
Self-imposed challenge

Technically speaking, aren't the Dreamcast's tools still relatively modern?

Shit like this makes me glad I've never supported a Kickstarter in my life.

>Self-important arrogant man-children... who think they're entitled to the work of others
That's part of the agreement you enter when you try and crowdfund a game, no? Backers give you money, you plop out a game for them.

I'm not the one to put others down but that spritework is horrendous.

Anybody have the screencap where he talks about raping a drugged up chick?
>>
>>334989993

This guy looks like a literal neanderthal. He seems like the type of person who gets off to making someone deepthroating his unwashed dick and watches you get all redfaced from the lack of oxygen and have cum seeping out the sides of your mouth.
>>
>>334990706
He'd become a martyr for the shitty indie developers. It'd be terrible.
>>
>>334989993

It's a structuring scam. He's being paid by very rich people to pretend he's making a game so they can get access to some of their money and spend it in an untraceable way. Most likely on drugs and shit.

His face in combination with this shitstorm makes me laugh hard every time desu

what the actual fuck? Is this the most misleading slogan ever?

Because he started developing his game back when the dreamcast was relevant, which gives you an idea how long that has been and how funny it is that he is already about half a year late delivering his game on kickstarter
>>
Alright, let me explain how the kikestarter scam works.

Rich person has lots of money, and wants to spend a sizeable amount of it on something less than legal. If rich person wants to make a transaction of a large amount of money (amount depends per country), a record of this is made. Records of illegal transactions aren't a good idea.

What rich person does is pay someone like this guy to make a kickstarter. Then rich person funds this kickstarter for as much money as he wants, and the necessary records are made of an entirely legal transaction.

Now because kickstarter is very poorly regulated, the person who made the kickstarter can then take this funding and give it right back to the person who funded him in the first place. Now the rich person has a large wad of cash he can do whatever he wants with because no records will be made.

Meanwhile person who made kickstarter got paid and a few months later he just says it's cance;led because there is no regulations at all and he can do this.

This is what the majority of these mysteriously funded but obviously shitty kickstarters are being used for.

>>334992480
Any proof of that?
>>
>>334992950

Nothing I could show you. The whole point is it's at the moment essentially impossible to prove this is happening. Which is why it's being done.
