Some of that shit looked worse than anything in the previous two games (talking about animations only; I'm really digging the character models). The voice acting seems iffy but that was the case for VLR as well. Hyped as fuck for the game but I wish they had kept the VN approach to cutscenes from the previous games as that hid the animation issues much better.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to knock the game overall. I'm 100% confident it will be stellar. The animations just look really bad in the trailer, and the fact that these are the scenes they chose to promote the game with doesn't leave me expecting the rest of the game's animations to be any better. It's not a huge issue but I can see it being an annoyance and potentially killing some of the mood. It's just in prior threads anyone who questioned the animations were basically lynched by the blind fanboy mob, and now with this trailer there's no denying they are looking off.

Nothing in VLR looked as bad as 0:33 in the trailer, with Eric aiming the shotgun. Or Junpei's half-hearted punching at 0:48. Or every time somebody talks and they move like mannequins. The previous games had animation issues, but they weren't nearly as noticeable due to the VN presentation. With full cutscenes the robotic animations are much more jarring. It's a shame because on the other hand some of the facial expressions, like Akane crying and Mira going full crazy, looked great.

There was an argument going on in the previous thread, and I wanted to continue it because now it has my interest.
If Sigma succeeds and creates Timeline E, would he get to stay in that timeline, or does he need to jump back to his VLR future?
I always thought he had to jump back, in order to give his younger consciousness back to his original body. And other people also thought that, but someone else said that wasn't the case.
Even though there are two Sigmas (young and old) there is only one Sigma "consciousness" which is the one we follow. In other words, Sigma isn't necessarily "swapping" with another version of himself, but rather he's simply overwriting it/taking over that body.
At first I didn't believe it, but it makes sense the more I think about it. First of all, all the jumps Sigma makes throughout VLR don't involve swapping. It's just jumping to different versions of himself and that's it. The versions of himself that he isn't controlling are still doing the same things, he just isn't consciously experiencing them himself. The same could be said for past/future Sigma. That means, if Sigma succeeds, he can stay there without worrying about abandoning a young Sigma's consciousness, because there's no consciousness to abandon.
Clover implies this in "Another Time." She says something like "Sigma has it easy. He gets to go back and live in a new timeline."

An alternate history is still an alternate history. There's nothing in the game that suggests they won't swapping seeing as how they state it's a swap and that Old swaps with Young when he fails. Regardless of whether he succeeds or not, in the history that he was sent back and Young Sigma has to play the AB game Akane will always attack him/Phi and slingshot his consciousness back and force the swap.
If FBR runs rampant and Radical - 6 isn't there to stop it, then wouldn't this absolutely fuck over the root of VLR? What if Radical - 6 is released as a back up plan so that they can at least survive until VLR?

What does this mean?
It means that there's only one Sigma moving at different points of time. While Sigma does "swap", you shouldn't stop thinking of it as a straight line because from Sigma's point of view, it is a straight line, there's just a Sigma in the "past" (who HAS to go through what "future" Sigma went through) and present Sigma.

Since Blick Winkel will be in ZTD, they need a way to summon him, which is probably similar.As some people have theorized, the CQD teams could be in different time periods or locations. However, in the trailers, we've seen characters from each team interact with each other.There are three different Akane's, which could explain why this one looks different from the real Akane. Carlos could be multiple Left clones. Q could be three different kids in a helmet. Phi could be someone in disguise, which would explain the orange eyebrows. Where do you live? Start with a pay-to-play website if you don't live near major cities, so look up Voicesbunny, Voices, and Voice 123. That'll get you started with real professional clients, possibly even some big ones like Wal-Mart or Disney for some their smaller ads. It'll also force you to get a home studio and learn how to use it if you don't already, and that's essential at all levels of skill and fame. Unless you already live near the LA area, do not make the investment of moving to one of the most expensive areas in the US without a plan. Even Gundam's actor had quite a bit of experience in training by the time he got Avdol (which happened BEFORE he got Gundam). He was just new to games and anime.

Though actually, one of my friends is in the same boat as you. He's just getting started, and while he's more focused on working his way into the Washington DC VO scene, that still limits him mostly to politicals, commercials, and narration. But he's looking to change that by making a fully localized version of a Dai Gyakuten Saiban trailer (as in, keeping the setting, but reworking everything else). He's basically redoing all of the graphics and trying to make the writing as good as the regular Ace Attorney games', just with a Japanese flair.
I know he's still a ways off from casting, since he's still working on lettering and motion graphics, but if you'd be interested, send an email to throwawayclover at gmail with your demo. I'll make sure to forward it to him for when he finally gets to handling VO.

Yes, but it's slow as fuck and saves pretty much all of the twists for the ending (but boy are there a lot of them).
That being said, it's probably a good idea to wait until after playing ZTD since Uchikoshi loves re-using twists from Ever17 and he's certainly going to use some in ZTD (In fact, one of Ever17's twists is actually confirmed for being in ZTD in some form or another)
