Will it live up to the hype?
It can't.
>>334941319
That's some awfully generic and forgettable ship design right there
>>334941483
That's one concept design from several years ago, don't make massive assumptions about the game because of previous biases and one picture
>>334941554
Okay.
Show me the current designs.
>>334941440
Pretty much.
At this point it's impossible to live up to the hype.
Having said that, I just want more space sims in general, so I'm sure it'll live up to my own personal hype just fine.
>>334941620
Here's one.. The 325a, distinguishable by its color and shape

Glad it looks bulkier nowadays.
>>334941859
Why make an aerodynamic space ship if there's no air in space?
It still looks pretty bland, sorry.
>>334941949
That's a bit better, but that's some ugly Space Engineers tier shit going on with that cross thing.
How much did this shit cost again?

Sure, just like Elite Dangerous

The Millennium Falcon is an example of a memorable space ship.
That plane shit is not.

Exactly. Science fiction. It has the word science in it, you should look up what science fiction means sometime.

Not just any metal, but a ferromagnetic metal. Iron, steel, cobalt, nickel, and some obscure elements and some alloys. The best you could hope for would be hematite, which is iron ore. That said, I'd expect future ships to be capable of vertical takeoff and landing.
>>334944436
for someone who hates furries so much you sure have a lot of pictures about them.

You're basically dissing most ship elaborate ship designs you see in media/film, since they have the bigger names in ship design working on the project.

I think this game is gonna end up like DayZ, in a perpetually buggy state. Luckily I can personally look past that and have found DayZ and the current build of Star Citizen to be fun. The gameplay features it has right now are pretty fun and if they continue to add more it will be fun. I am also pretty skeptical about their ability to balance the game and I'd bet some money after the 1 year mark after release (2055) everyone will be in the same exact ships with the same setups doing the same exact circle dogfight maneuvers. But it'll still be pretty fun.
