Dude, the Dancer's Blades are not powerful. Neither is their moveset. They were my primary weapon for a good 10+ hours of gameplay, I would know.
The more elements that a weapon dips into, the less powerful it is overall. Each of the weapon's elemental damages is reduced by a seperate set of the target's armor and absorption values.
Get a physical weapon with an equivalent amount of raw damage and you will be doing around triple the damage on each hit.

That guy might be shit, but uncounterable infinites are a good way to trashman-tier your game. Without T-escape a good infinite will completely disrupt the balance of the game. Eventually the "git gud" meme falls off when the best players select the broken weapons and shit on everyone who's basically handicapping thenselves. This was the case with Maly, Slegan, Auth, Pepero, and EWGF when they shit on everyone with push-lock. It wasn't until after EWGF revealed how to break locks that the the stranglehold kats had relinquished on the meta (as well as Mirdan and BBS). The tiers evened out after than and Gaxe and DBS became favorable again and the meta settled nicely.

you have to press l1 to get good dmg on the dancers or you are using only 1 sword per swing. You will do 5 times the dmg not 3 times with a good physical only weapon btw, and you forgot to mention that those can be buffed for an extra 150 AR plus infused on top of that for better scaling. Can literally have over 1k AR and hit for 2k dps+ with 2 charged r2. dancers is just mediocre and I cannot believe /v/ is so fucking casual. Then again I am sure I ve seen some of you faggots when I won 1 vs 4 gank squads by using the npcs in my favour, top kek.

If they're embered like any host is, they're more or less guaranteed to survive that unless they have sub-20 vigor, and there's no way to followup any more since they can just roll out after 2 hits. Great Axe has nothing to actually pressure people with or deal with rolls very well.
It was a huge pain in the ass when the estoc, katana, and straight swords had way better thrusting approaches that cost less stamina and staggered, or had wide enough fast attacks to punish rolls a lot better.

wrong. Other anon here, you can get in 2 hits in with most weapons then the stun lock is over. Only rapiers can get in more but do less dmg per hit. Some weapons can only get in 1 hit. Therefore hard hitting weapons esp with long reach are best and you are wrong. I agree on the END obviously.

Is this nigga serious? There is no way to increase poise out side of skills and any poke breaks you out of animation if you aren't 3/4th the way to completing it and only on super strength (30+) weapons.

Less damage per swing but more DPS (Damage per Second). Specialty Gems negate this "do less damage" mentality since they force weapons to scale with what ever prime stat you want. Get to end game soul level 85-125, your views are the one of a rookie getting paired with low soul level players.

Infusing is possible for all kinds of weapons, thus rapiers do not have more dps at all from this POV. I can do 2k dmg with 2 charged r2 with a 2 hander and still have stamina left. Using the l2 spin from the dancers swords does 1k dmg on the same stamina bar with good scaling for either weapon. Both have almost same AR. You are clueless, son.

Moonlight greatsword or one other weapon comes to mind. Pure spells/miracles/pyro is shitty in this one, battlemage is totally viable. I would not do int/faith myself, I did run with a build like this twice now and melee is way superior. Just 30 int 28 faith so you can buff yourself, all you need imho and if you really want this is the perfect scaling for dark miracles/dark sorceries as well. Dorhys gnawing will do about 700 dmg in 2 casts this way for 56 fp or something like that.

kek...this. A full combo with 178 stamina is about 1k dmg, with 720+ AR. One charged r2 with a good weapon is the same dmg and takes one quarter of that stamina. Or 2 r1 is also the same dmg.
