Normal batting machines actually don't throw heaters like that - I believe they top out at like 70 mph, because the main thing for them is to train the hitter's technique when hitting, so they're made to give the guy some easy balls to swing at.
Getting hit by a 70 mph fastball still smarts, and if it gets you in a bad spot, you might get injured, but it's nothing compared to a clean line drive off a high-velocity fastball. A single good hit (like what you'd get if you were chained up to a post and getting nailed with them) would either fracture the shit out of your face or have the potential to dislodge internal organs.
Really, I feel like they cheaped out on this execution. There should be pools of blood everywhere, probably some guts spilling out in places where tissue has been completely ruptured to bits from repeated hits... that should be devastating.

There's a thin line between going over ground again and referring back to old stuff intentionally, but this is definitely the latter, and there's a fair share of things in the second game where the player is meant to go "hang on, I've seen this before".

The English script is okay, and the voice acting is mixed (though there's nothing horrendous).
If I could play a version of the game Japanese voices, and English subs that were direct translations of the Japanese script, I'd go with that.

Like average anime subs, where they change it enough so that it doesn't sound stupid in English, but the subs are still clearly expressing the same thought as the Japanese dialogue. As opposed to the subs in the DR games, where the Japanese dialogue is talking about it going to the pool, while the English subs claim their talking about cooking chicken.

The PC port was done by abstraction games. NISA's didn't have anything to do with it, other than what they modified from the vita port since it was kept intact.
