Seems as good a place to ask as any, how do get out of a gravity well when the game limits speed to 115 m/s or so? Shouldn't it be physically impossible to escape the planet?

because it's a buggy, poorly optimised mess.

my friends and I rented a server and had to give up because we were pulling 5fps on a single small planet; not to mention items constantly disappearing.

why'd they even push out the planet update if it doesn't work?

Because no space monsters, it's boring as fuck, for an engineering game, gravity sure doesn't work on most structures, and there's not really a game behind any of it
