Radical-6 leaves some survivors: although humanity was decimated, there were still some people left in VLR. Some of those infected survivors were used to create Axelavir, which may or may not be related to FBR.
The infected Earth might have a higher than 75% fatality rate overall because, even if you don't directly die from the infection, you might get hit with a nuclear explosion or food shortage or something else.
If you're infected with radical-6 and don't die, presumably you still spread it to more people. At least one of the Mars Mission survivors in the VLR timeline probably was infected, which spread Radical-6 outside.
Unlike in Pandemic, Madagascar probably never closed its ports.
The more I learn about this game the less hype I am.
Death was so much more impactful in 999 than vlr because it showed off the rules and introduced distrust by saying it had to be murder with at leasr two accomplices. Radical-6 was boring shit and I'M afraid fbr will be too.

Because rad-6 had no impact whatsoever. I got spoiled by the two headed lion on my first route that it made peoplealicekill themselves and put two and two together as soon as quark was diagnosed with it that a highly contagious (pandemic worthy) virus in a closed environment meant everyone had it.(why no on freaked out about that baffles me te this day).
From then on, quark and alice's scenes lost all impact. Even my first end (clover) was just "oh time to jump" because it's done in maybe 10 lines.
Likewise luna vs 4 was killed by horrible, HORRIBLE animation, but my biggest gripe is that saying there's a problem outside never works as a way to raise the stakes- you simply don't process it to its true extent, much like you don't process that the moon is enormous, because it's distant. It was terrible in dr, and it's still terrible here.
By contrast, the bad ends and deaths of 999 really got to me, because it's concrete fear- somebody broke the rules and died horribly begging for his life, and there's at least two people needed to open a numbered door and kill someone. That's concrete, and way more effective than some fictive virus. Doesn't help that I hated quark and alice.
