A/C units are expensive to run and the better the cooling your PC has the hotter it's going to make the room. I know a lot of people that will have a much smaller window unit for their PC room because it's much cheaper to run that and keep the room "warm" than it is to have it wide open and bleed all that heat into the house for the central A/C to deal with in addition to everything else. Also like I said above, they're not common in a lot of states due to the low humidity making swamp coolers useful.

I used to keep it on automatic, but last September my GPU temps went gone up for some reason. I tried cleaning out all the dust and shit and even applied new thermal paste but they were still in the mid-to high 80s during gaming. So now I just turn my fan speed up to about 85% whenever I go to play a game and it stays at around 40-50c.
