Aldritch's title is ambiguous. In this case, 'Gods' refers to the set of things which he does devour. It's only necessary to slay one dragon to be a slayer of 'Dragons', because 'A Dragon' is something you slew.

We found the Ornstein's armor set after the fight. This could either mean:
1. Ornstein got killed by firstborn and armor was stripped off after their battle.
2. Ornstein did not get killed when fighting the Firstborn but he lost the fight. Firstborn spared Ornstein but took his armor and weapon so he can harm no more dragon.
3. Ornstein ignores the kill contract and join the dragon covenant and transform himself into stormdrake, allying himself with the Nameless King.
I think Ornstein being killed scenario is not probable since you don't see his corpse where you find his armor. Additionally, given Ornstein's relationship with the Firstborn (pupil and mentor), it is unlikely Firstborn will just kill Ornstein right off. This leaves case 2 to be the most probable hypothesis but I have absolutely no proof for this.
Hypothesis 3 may be the coolest I've seen so far but with flaws. Evidence that supports this can be the absence of Ornstein's corpse. Also, when Nameless King executes Ornstein, the lighting on his swordspear stays permanently, maybe using the lighting powers from Ornstein.
But again, Firstborn is the heir of lighting. He may not need Ornstein's power in the first place. The lighting is not on the spear in the first phase because he didn't want to harm his dragon. Another flaw with this theory is that when the stormdrake dies, it did not transform back to deity/human form.
What is /v/ consensus on this? Did Ornstein die?

DaS2's DLC was good because by then they knew the game and the engine's limits and strengths, and were able to therefore play to them effectively, and without as bad of a schedule crunch as the main development.
