The series has a good amount of appeal with 64 selling the most. The question is why the series fell off overtime was it due to changes in gameplay, sales in console hardware, advertising, or the rail shooting genre losing steam after 64s release? Nintendo didn't know what it was that made 64 sell so well it could have been the rumble pack for all they know. I'm asking what it was that caused the loss of interest in Star Fox because at the time of Adventures release the GameCube was being outdone by the PS2 when it came to appealing to the mainstream audience. Even if Adventures was a good game could it have sold as much as 64 did?

Corneria has a new theme, the map theme is mostly new with snippets of the SNES theme in it, and I'm pretty sure Fortuna's theme was heard at some point. Most of the music is probably new, in fact, the Attack Carrier music is most likely only for that boss.

If I am to give Command any credit, I liked the changing teams depending on what branch you took, and how you could play as more than just Fox. The gameplay was boring, but I think you can do more with the revolving teams, and I don't mind them expanding into other new characters like Lucy either. (Though I'm aware most would much prefer sticking to the core four)
Would love a traditional Starfox where your routes can change the squad. Falco goes storming off again so you have to emergency recruit Bill to help, or the player can go with Falco and Kat while they do their own thing. Fox and Peppy get split up and they're forced to work with Wolf and Leon to get out of a bad situation. Lot's of possibilities, and can open up secrets on New Game + where you can reach new secrets by dragging different characters into the level.
Like I'm not asking for the "Slippy and his Girlfriend run away and start a family" or "Fox and Falco become F-Zero racers because Panther is giving Krystal the D" storylines, but I would be totally cool with having some different story paths leading to following different pilots.
ESPECIALLY a Star Wolf path. That (and maybe a prequel story with a younger James, Pigma, Peppy, and maybe a guest 4th like Pepper) would be a bonus campaign I doubt many people would object to.
