What kind of idiot makes presumptions about another person's computing habits and reasons behind purchases?
I can't reasonably use a desktop in bed because of the way my room is laid out, but I'm a lazy failure (who already had a laptop they used in bed prior to building the desktop.) who likes to stay in bed for hours. This necessitates a laptop. GNU/Linux is novel and for 99% web browsing has no major disadvantage over Win 7.
Considering the laptop was a horrible choice for vidya, getting a second computer was a completely reasonable decision.
Mac for college followed because (a) my main laptop is quite beaten up and has shit tier battery life, (b) it provided an excuse to get my parents to half-fund the thing, and (c) I wanted one to play with anyway.
I don't like smartphones or any of the current gen consoles. Also

My main box runs windows 7. I have steam but almost never use it, I should uninstall it again realistically.
I also have my old XP machine, a sick af win98se box, and a few laptops running everything from win8 down to win2000.
No macs, only one old ubuntu box. I don't really care if I'm a winfag.
Looking forward to GPD Win, I've wanted a pocket computer like iit for a long time. gonna put so many classic pc games on it, and maybe see if it will boot something other than botnet10.
