Both are good.
But get the PC, Xbox or PS2 versions.
PC has mods + better controls
Xbox has better graphics and some other things (not sure)
PS2 has the best effects
Objectively speaking though, SA is many times longer than VC, and has more content overall.
I like the 80s Miami theme a bit better than the early 90s LA hood theme though.

Actually, in SA, the Xbox version isn't any good.
PS2 for the original atmosphere and PC for better controls, mods etc. A lot of the missing content and bugs can be fixed with mods (Silentpatch is one)
