Who's everyone's favorite operator? I'm a big fan of Castle. His guns are fun to use, and his ability is much better in my opinion than pulse's

The game died already?! It hasn't even been out long. I was in the beta and it was pretty alright. The main reason I didn't buy it is that for what I got during the beta, and I think they've added some stuff, it just wasn't worth a 50-70 price tag. 20 bucks I would've bought it in a heart beat. Season pass also pisses me off.

That's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the DOOM open beta, but I'm happy if other people are able to enjoy it. It makes me a bit jealous, as I wish I could enjoy every game I play.
The matchmaking is pretty balls. I got paired up with 4 free weekenders againts some level 100+ clan assholes and we lost completely.

Ubisoft is either somehow unable to or absolutely refuses to listen to their players' most common complaints and likewise for dealing with the rampant hackers. The Division now has a huge problem with hackers, which is a stark indication of how (not) soon 'til it'll be addressed in R6S.
I took about a month off to play other games intending to come back for the new operators sometime this month but every time I think about loading up Uplay the headaches outweigh the potential fun.

I only played casual, so don't know if things change in ranked, but main issues I had with this game was:
1. Netcode or some other shit. I have ping like everyone else, but when I shoot someone in the face, I die and then replay shows that I am shooting in the floor, instead of their face, or don't even shoot at all. So I don't know what the fuck is this shit.
2. I really disliked that all weapons I've tried feel like airsoft guns. I don't really play ARMA or other military simulations (because of the pixel hunting), but that really feels weird for me, when a shotgun has same recoil as an SMG.
3. I've only tried three operators, but somehow liked Recruit the most. I tried Termite dude, FBI lady and Kapkan. Weapon limitations are also weird for me. Especially when they say in the intro something along the lines 'Take whatever and whoever you want. We must strike back'. And you are limited to shit.
What I liked was maps. Maps was pretty much nicely designed, with multiple entry points and breach-able walls/windows.
Game somehow felt like Call of Duty Modern Warfare hardcore + demolition of environments from Battlefield Bad Company 2. I liked that, but the negative for me outweigh the positive.
Hope you can handle a bit of criticism for your favorite game.

What's the best strategy for multiplayer? I bought it during the free weekend and I did manage to get myself to level 18 from terrorist hunts but I absolutely suck at multi againts other people.

Map familiarity.
There's all sorts of little discreet kill holes with great vantage points. Learning where those are and trying to remember when you're approaching them are key.

That's all valid criticism, and I respect your opinion. I know that the game is not for everyone, but I'm glad at least one more person decided to try it, even if they didn't end up buying it. I actually agree with your third criticism, as I know it was a bit of a letdown. I still find it a lot of fun, and I don't think the game would've been improved if it had loadout creation like other shooters. I don't know if this would make a lot of sense but the operator mechanic makes it feel more like heroes in a MOBA, which is weird, but gives it a bit of balance, and makes you think more about your team composition. Sure you can make a whole team using the same weapon, or everyone using grenades to bombard the enemy, but the operator mechanic gives everyone a chance at using a more specialized role.

I recommend trying out thermite for attacking as well, his assault rifle is the most reliable and easy to use out of all the assault rifles. And a protip: rook's shielding doesn't give more armor, it gives a higher chance of bleeding out than dying. If you like rook's equipment, doc is the same thing except he can pick people and himself up at range

For Blitz just realize that as a shield user you are primarily a distraction. Don't try getting all up close to a guy to flash them because it probably won't end well. If they come to you then it's all good but yeah.
Thatcher's grenade blasts go through walls so you don't actually even have to be in the room to get a ton of stuff.
Map knowledge is probably the best thing you can have. That and patience.

Shit like the Mac-11 is strong because of the ACOG. Of course Ubi "balanced" it, but they still haven't removed the ACOG option. Also, people are already exploiting shields with the fast aim trick or using a macro to achieve that.

I personally use SMG11 with a holosight. Its so much better because you can control the recoil easier. I always get 2-3 spawnkills on some maps opposed to one lucky kill with an ACOG because of how much of a clusterfuck the recoil is

So many times a Castle has placed his barricades in a spot that prevents a good flank.
That being said, I prefer pulse over him, I sit around the objective and ping where people are for my team by seeing them through walls. And whenever I can I pop niggas through walls with the shotgun. It is so satisfying and I have even aced as a 1v5.

The game looked really cool, even from its first fake as fuck trailer they showed at E3 years back.
Tried out the free weekend, but I couldn't get into it as much as I wanted to. Too many small things that bugged me and I feel the variety is kinda lacking for its price. Didn't really like the operator way of doing things either, would've preferred loadouts.
Maps and amount of destruction is fucking great though, I'll give it that.

One wrong move and Ash runs around the corner and kills you before the kill cam sees her.

Better hacker detection, more updates with additional operators and maps, more objective modes (but not an overbearing amount of extra content), and that's pretty much it. Someone like me will keep playing, but to get a bigger player base you need to give them more stuff to do that isn't weapon skins and cosmetics. I'm actually really happy about weapon skins in this, they're like what they should be, minor personalization with a few premium skins. No trading, no player markets, no nothing

My only issue was friends made me get it on the PS4 and the netplay was the most ass thing i've experienced in a long time. Sometimes id blast someone with a shotgun at close mid range 3 times somehow die watch the kill cam and i maybe got one shot off on his screen before i died.
A game with such quick deaths having poor netplay just ruined it for me. But like i said i'm sure the PC version is better. Although i still enjoy faster shooters that are about spacing and dodging then a peakaboo tactical one.

I love this game and have a lot of fun making it, but they really need to improve the matchmaking and speed up the dlc releases, or at least tease at them. The first one was delayed a month and the second already is. Also why the fuck is House such a hard map to get on? I feel like all I ever play is Kafe and Base lately.

It was super fun, and addicting. At first, you go crazy, and sit in Surf_Rebel_Assault getting headshots down the spawn ramp all day..
But, then you get more refined, turn off the aimbot, and just use the ESP feature to see where your opponent is without wall hacks, and what equipment they have. Great for sizing up your next headshot early AF, and so much easier to hide than straight up walls and aimbot.
It was fun to wreck with anticipation, and hide it from getting caught.

On PC you have some issues with finding matches, especially during the weekdays during normal working hours for americans. Some people will TK each other at the start for shits and grins while others will disconnect at the drop of a hat. Ever since black ice the disconnection issue has gotten worse.
