Most games distributors make the price they want. PC games are cheap because they have no taxes because during the 90 years were considered "software" in order to enhance production for business use in the country. Already videogames games receive almost 70% fee on the sell, because they are considered gambling, such as casinos (as if they were slot machines). There is a contradiction, since casinos are banned in Brazil, and games are sold as such, but taxed.
Most of my games I buy for "muambeiros" which are people who go to other countries and bring hidden games in his luggage.
Prices are 50-70% cheaper than the large department stores, most of this material comes from Paraguay. Moving to Brazil without paying taxes.
Curious fact, the large majority of Playstations 3 and 4 here in Brazil came from Mexico.
Some "gamers" complain that the games are expensive in Brazil, but I really want these people to go and fuck off, since there are these ways to buy games off the department stores.
