Pontiff scythe isn't very good since you can't buff/infuse it, and frostbite is garbage.
Get either the Great Scythe or the Corvian Great Scythe, depending on if you want a bit more base damage or more bleed damage. Both are still great weapons.

Grave Warden Twinblades can be farmed. Kinda low damage but they have bleed. The rest is mostly pretty late game. The way to Anor Londo has twin spears, there's twin swords at the entrance to Grand Archives and twin katanas at the end of Grand Archive climb.
Also Dancer's twin swords from a boss soul but they suck.

That isn't a scythe except by the loosest definition of 'stick with a curved cutting blade on the end'. Weapons that conform to that definition such as glaives (which I would call the examples in your picture) and bardiches were used commonly in some areas, but they're not scythes.
Proper scythes with a crescent shaped blade and undulating shaft are incredibly unwieldy for anything except plant stalks along the ground. They're farming implements and not much else.

Warden twinblades are probably your best bet. I played through most of the game using them and it was pretty fun (didn't increase my luck though). Bleed immune enemies/bosses are pretty annoying though since the damage on them is a bit lacklustre.

Many people will suggest things like that because it makes logical sense, which is fine, that's what a lot of historical investigation in based on.
However, if you dig deeper into this particular example and try holding a scythe or watch people using one you'll see that the blade really can't be swung in any effective way because it's affixed in such a way that when held comfortably it will be resting parallel with the ground, the user can easily cut grass with a gentle shifting of their arms back and forth.

FUGS has S with heavy gem. It has 590 dmg at +5 heavy infused with 60 strength. It also weighs 25.5 and is slow as hell, the only way to hit bosses that are very agressive like everything from ithryll onwards is to dodge attack. Literall the only viable attack it has for half or more of the game.
Are there any weapons at all that reach S-scaling in dex, at least with sharp infusion? Also I'm really mad at cestus rework, in DaS2 you traded the worst reach in the game wor S-scale on both str and dex, here its scaling is shit.

the pyromancy weapon buff gives like 100 damage with only a 10 faith + 10 int requirement (and this is without upgrading the flame) making it really good.
Another good idea is using Carthus Rouge instead of a buff(consumable item, maiden has infinite stock of them if you give grave warden ash to her) as it heavily increases the amount of bleed build up on enemies, use it when you go fight enemies with lots of hp and you will get tons of bleed procs. I also heard leveling luck increases bleed build up but haven't really tested it yet.

That isn't a sufficient modification to make them a viable weapon. Swinging a scythe such that the cutting edge connects requires a horribly awkward stance that gives little reach.The blade would have to be affixed to the shaft differently and probably beaten into a better shape. Of course people could easily do this and it was common to transform farming tools into weapons and vice versa (swords to ploughshares, etc.). However the main point is that modifying a scythe to the point where it can be properly used in battle makes it no longer resemble a scythe, but rather another kind of bladed polearm.

I use Grave Warden Twinswords sharp, has B dex scaling. Not the best, but bleed damage plus Carthus Rouge means you bleed enemies and players fucking dry.
I might switch to the Gotthard Twinswords though. Pump some points into STR because it has refined B/B STR/DEX scaling, is outright more powerful than the Grave Wardens, and has a pretty slick move set.
But bleeding bosses/large monsters is very fun.

The main problem I have with Caestus not being S is that it only does about 20 more damage than the Demon's Fist at 30 STR, which basically means DF is a direct upgrade from a damage-dealing perspective. Perseverance can only make up for so much.
Also DF has higher kick damage (I think it might be the highest in the game), but Caestus also does good kick.

I always open up the door, teleport back to Firelink and then back to Cleansing Chapel. He'll be there. Sometimes it takes reloading the whole area.

My problem are the weapon in this game are so damn boring to use. I went from straight swords to katanas to greatswords and found nothing I wanted to use.

Pretty sure its because you when the attack hit you first it was in partial parry timing but you reach parry timing while the attack is still in you so you get both. only happens to me when I'm using the buckler or parrying dagger prob because of the longer parry frames. Just practice a bit more and you'll manage ot not get hit at all, its just fucky.

I used the same fucking gems that were in the BoM. The difference was that with the BoM if you hit 95% of the enemies once, they were stuck in the combo so they were guaranteed dead with assloads of damage. The Burial Blade just did decent damage on hit once.

I run into a lot of backstab fishers, and backstabs just aren't that powerful without Hornet's Ring this time around, which leads me to believe they are either Vets who have not learned or newplayers thinking they know what PvP is about. I literally just sat still locked on to a dude for about 3 minutes as he circle strafed me.
I also noticed a ton of turtlers too though, which are definitely new players. Any vet would know never to put your shield up in PvP until the attack is actually being thrown.

I am a shield fag, not even parry shield, usually have no problem pvp.
Some idiots go in for a kick, I drop the shield, quikstep/roll, back stab.
Most the time the issues I have is network related. You know, when you swing your sword and miss, but then a second later you see blood slash out of the guy.
I think the problem with some pvpers is they rely on one tactic.
