Dark Souls is hollow without the multiplayer component. Sure, you CAN beat it, but a huge aspect of the game has been removed, and that stinks. No invasions. No helpful/trollish notes. No jolly co-op. No fun allowed edition.

Dark Souls doesn't HAVE servers. It's entirely Peer to Peer. the only server involved is the Steam server, which is maintained by Steam.
