I'm having a way tougher time with DS3 than I did with Bloodborne, but I don't consider this as a point against the latter. I loved BB's combat, and I'd love to see another Souls-like game with similar mechanics in a new setting.

Well to be fair, as a dex build, the bosses are fairly easy.
Still a fun game though.
It's probably not as good as the first dark souls for me since it didn't add as much to the series in comparison, but it's at least definitely better than bloodborne. BB just lacks too many of the aspects that I love about souls.

Makes sense, Dark Souls 3 is just a mishmash of the series while BB was a fresh take on something new. It also had the Plain Doll who in contrast to her name is anything but plain.

It's the opposite for me. Approaching bosses aggressively has stopped me from dying to them. Only one that killed me more than once was Dancer, which took four attempts. I triggered it real early, though. I haven't used a shield for anything but parries.
