Because it's WoW in space with guns. The only thing to do is collect legendary marks which cap at 3 heroic vanguards 1 daily pvp, 1 daily story.
No giving it a nightfall and raid matchmaker made the game DOA. I play it on the PS4 and it's the most anti-social game possible.
The only way to find a group is to go on 3rd party websites filled with malware adds and flashing banners and only to get catch 22ed for not being high enough light to do the raid you need to play to get the higher light level gear.
PVP is a ridiculous joke the only time I bothered playing it was to get the invective shotgun. Even the in game lore tells you crucible is training for new guardians and has no other point.
Warframe is better.
No its cause i paid 9 dollars for a vanilla copy and beat it in a day not even realizing i had finished the story
Fucking level 18 final boss and i was already level 28 just from soloing everything and a few strikes in between. Outside of that theres fuck all to do and nothing matters, 80% of the stuff you can buy doesnt even change much, the speeders only increase your speed like 5% tops and the jump ships are only good for loading screens.
Outside of that the game is beyond simple and even borderlands does what this game trys to do better.

Also now i cant even shell out the 5 bucks for the expansions cause they just made it part of the taken king so now if you wanna play destiny 1.0 instead of this fucking demo disc its 40 bucks

Destiny has horrible gunplay, the gun covers like 1/3 of your screen, there's no sense of weight, and everything is a bullet sponge.
its kinda fucked up that they lead the customers into believing it would have something like an MMO-style game where you would get regular content and new missions, instead you just get a bunch of dlcs with barely any content to grind the same maps over and over.
The same thing was done with The Division and it tricked so many people.
