kek, I'm in the same boat as you. I just got a Vita not that long ago and paid like $90 for the 64GB memory card. I've had PS+ since 2012 and during that entire time I've been redeeming Vita games using my PS3 even though I didn't have a vita until a few weeks ago.
I have almost every Vita PS+ games ever released on my account so I didn't have to pay for Uncharted, Killzone, Gravity Rush, Sly Cooper, and more. So far aside from the shitty memory card format and load times, the Vita is pretty awesome.

I can confirm that 2 64s work perfectly in an adapter and for shits and giggles a friend and I wanted to see if we could get 128s would work and that does indeed also seem to work. I can't speak to it's longevity however because we had to put the cards back but the PSP doesn't seem to have a memory limitation as a hard cap that's accessible by microSDs so far. I've had 2 64s in my PSP for around 2 years now.

From what I read on GBATemp once upon a time ago, the PSP can technically support up to 1TB due to the way the system is designed, but I honestly can't imagine that or the amount of lag it would have to read the card. Hell, mine is 150GB and the initial hangup on the cross menu bar after startup/resume from sleep to read the card is around 8 - 10 seconds.

It can go up further than that as long as the cards are formatted to FAT32. Mine uses a duo adaptor with a 32GB and 128GB card, which uses about 10GB for whatever reason. The downside is that the higher the storage, the more the initial lag and hang up on the XMB is, which can be annoying for some.

Not every game has a story, or a story that you don't already know.
I've got about 4 rhythm games, no issue, dynasty warriors gundam that just retreads story we already know, some puzzle games, I didn't need to know dick for the kamen rider and one piece DW games to know what was going on there.
Point is, region free, it's easy, there's really nothing standing between you and a lot of games you don't need to know any moonspeak for.
If Rez Infinite gets onto the vita it would be a system seller.

The problem is that most of those games just feel like watered down PS2 games with awkward controls and a claustrophobic camera. The PSP does have some great games, but most PSP games were just painfully mediocre. Exact opposite for me. The DS has got one of the most mediocre libraries of any system I feel, most of which are held back by shitty controls and terrible graphics. There aren't too Phantasy Star Zeros or Ghost Tricks.
That being said, whatever your favorite genre is, you can find a fun game for the PSP. It had some good shit for both western and eastern. Patapon, Locoroco, Burnout, Gran Turismo, Killzone, Resistance, Coded Arms, GTA, Tekken, Street Fighter, Persona, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Ys, Monster Hunter, Phantasy Star Portable...Jesus christ that's just what's coming out of my head right now; not even counting some of the weirder games like ZHP, Brave Frontier, Lords of Arcana, Several DJ Maxes and Miku games, Gods Eater, Disgaea, Mercury...

Don't get me wrong, the DS library is full of mediocre garbage too, but I just personally found more games to be enjoyable. That said, for the game that I really enjoyed on the PSP I put in a lot more time than I did for most DS games I played.
Still, none of that really matters since both were fantastic handhelds and I got tons of enjoyment out of both of them.

3000 or Go. The only thing the 2000 had going for it was its slim design and the fact that you could install perma CFW on some of the earlier models. But with the release of 6.61 Infinity it's rendered useless.

Official batteries were the only good one and those are discontinued. Even if you find one brand new it will most likely be drained. You'll have to settle with 3rd parties which is like taking a risk.
