Why does /v/ hate indie games and indie developers so much? You complain that AAA games are the cancer killing video games but you also hate the little guys and call them hipsters for using retro graphics while you praise old games. I dont understand.

Because the solution to the problems of huge budget AAA releases is not just to make games with graphics and gameplay from several decades ago but instead to make actual good games.

Sturgeon's law applies just as much if not more to them, and they do shit like early access.

1 out of 50 Indie games are playable, and maybe 1 out of 100 are good.
A lot of us just don't have time to wade through all that shit to get to something playable, so we just avoid Indie games.
