I'm waiting for it to come to PC first. My PS4 has major connection problems for some reason, the speed is extremely slow. Like, if it needs to patch anything it's going to do that for the next 4-6 hours and downloading a game will literally take a day and a half.
It's weird since the Wii U is right next to it and it works just fine. It's not like the PS4 is too far from the router, unless the PS4 has a smaller connection range or something.
Will the Japanese version have a patch for English text once the NA version comes out?

To be honest the people here that actually play Guilty Gear aren't that bad. What makes them seem so bad is because of dickriders that don't play the game that comes to every thread to shit it up. Like "Xrd is for BB babies", shitposting about Blazblue, or "MUH BAIKEN NO BUY" and so on. Good thing is if you play the game you won't be playing with those dickriders, cause as I said before, they don't actually play the games at all.

Yeah it's really annoying. I can understand that you want to wait for your main to start playing the games again (If you actually played the games a lot before, but usually the people who say that didn't.). Preordering digitally gets you the demo but I want a physical copy. I dont have anyone locally to play with so the demo is less useful for learning the game than Sign which has netplay right now.

Not really.
For one you really do need to resort to mind games in GG. When to bait bursts, when to condition your opponent's into DPing, spacing and other 2D fundamentals is just as important. Most people fail to realize that the reason GG or any other chain game is Gatling based is because they are momentum based games, since mobility in general is off the walls, the pressure must also be on par.
Online play is basically dead unless you live in Japan where they all live near each other because unlike link based fighters, setups and windows for Blitz/guard cancels are small, so people who actually play this game organize locals if they're lucky

Sounds like your only experience with anime games is Marvel 3 or something. Theres a game thats won and lost in training mode. I think GG has a lot of opportunity for mindgames with use of YRC/burst baits etc
