Reminder that the plot to the Memories of Foam DLC is thatAfter you beat Anankos, he's able to pass his memories onto the Anankos of another world, making the DLC campaign render the other DLC campaign totally pointless.
Anankos in the Failed Revelations timeline then destroyed the Omega Yato and killed everyone except Corrin. He then proceeded to invade a bunch of different Conquest/Birthright timelines and killed everyone there except for the kids, who he just tossed into an illusion world where he tricks them into fighting and killing each other. By the time you play the DLC, the kids you play as are the last survivors and are all from the 22 different timelines destroyed by Anankos, and apparently he has repeated this process in order to find a Shigure who could survive the ordeal and reach him, and he would deem him to be the true soul reincarnation of Ryuurei, with whom he sought to create a new Valla together.
