Gears and Chronicles are as good as it gets though. I don't know anything which directors/producers were working on which games, but it would probably have some insight.

Just stop, any game you put that much time into you can't hate unless you let other peoples opinion get to you. I love the game and admit it has a ton of faults but I think it was the only game that somewhat lived up to its hype. Starting to play W3 and hope it at least does the same.

Look at Destiny for example. Year 1 content with both Dinklage and North as your ghost sounds terrible. Year 2 writing sounds betterstill shit though
