What does it feel like to be blind?
>>
sucks. that's why i stock up on eye drops.
>>
I've heard that being deaf feels more isolating and depressing, even if it's less handicapping.
>>
>>334731963
Man I just thought, wouldn't it be kinda cool to experience blindness in VR?
>>
WHAT?
>>
>>334732025
Drops only clean the surface. Not much of an help for what happens inside.

Drinking water and exercising is the route everyone should take to avoid going blind. If diabetes run in your family have it checked don't let it fuck your eyes before it's too late.

blind people get music, deaf people get porn.

Seeing that they can perceive shapes and space? Yes.

Can blind people form accurate mental images? Thats a better question. And the general answer is no.
>>
>>334732589
I imagine it depends on if they were blind since birth or not and where along the process (iie, between the eye and visual system in the brain) the fuckup is.

The dialogue before the Everwood confirms that they have sight, it's just very poor. It's the reason behind why it spreads it's scales

The only 100% blind monster is Khezu

Some of the kids are mentally challenged so they can say pretty dumb shit but its not really their fault. But probably this one asshole kid that tried to lie and tell his room's counselor I was mean to him or something. Dumbest thing a counselor said was asking a blind girl what her bag looked like when trying to find it.
Prettiest thing is probably this one sweetie pie named Micky who said that even though she can't she is still happy that people like me treat her normally if only for a week.

>get an easy excuse to get off work and catch up with friends at camp

Idk anon what went wrong with your life?

I have a not so much fetish but kinda mild obsession with blind characters and blindness. My DnD character I've had for forever is a blind bard half-elf and if I get a chance to give a character whited-out eyes or, optimally, a blindfold I always will.

In undergrad I used to volunteer at the local center for the blind. Mostly just drove them around and shit. I guess it's because I'm fucking astounded constantly by blind people's ability to do most of the same shit sighted people can, even if they were born blind. It sincerely blows my mind.

DD has always been my fav super hero since I was a kid and first crush, uguu so I would really love a DD game. I think there's a lot of ways you could accomplish it with gameplay segments similar to the Batman games but with radar mode on all the time and uses for the other senses like smell. Then part of the purpose of this would be evidence gathering with the rest of the gameplay segments being court cases. Some mix between Arkham City, L.A. Noire, and Ace Attorney (which also has a GOAT kinda blind character).

Would you play it /v/?

>>334731963
I've been blind before, if only for few minutes during an anaphylactic reaction. It's terrifying, imagine the darkest black you've ever seen and then imagine it being darker than that.
>>
>>334732589
i feel like i read somewhere that all the faces you see in dreams are faces you have seen in real life at some point. you can't form human faces with your creative mind.

i feel like you can abstract that to everything visual. if your brain is only capable of recombining what it has experienced previously, wouldn't it stand to reason that someone who has never seen a single thing has absolutely nothing to draw on?
>>
>>334732557
That's one of the scariest things I can imagine honestly

>all the faces you see in dreams are faces you have seen in real life at some point. you can't form human faces with your creative mind.
That's almost 'humans only use 10% of their brain'-tier stupid.
>>
First time I actually saw a blind person was a month ago.

He was walking surprisingly fast, faster than the average person even, and didn't even have a dog. I thought he was gonna hit some stairs from a nearby building,(cursed inside my mind the retarded designer who thought to make a sole building with stairs protruding like that) but he immediately picked on them with the cane and avoided it. I mean even though he probably took that road a million times it's still pretty amazing to walk with that much confidence despite being blind.

His white eyes were also pretty freaky. Wonder if he wasn't wearing glasses so people can pick up faster that he's blind and move out of the way.

Yeah because imagining sharper noses, higher cheekbones, thicker eyebrows, wider chins, shorter jaws, more accentuated laugh-lines or bigger foreheads is physically impossible. Artists only draw exactly human faces they've already seen.

Sure I don't think a blind person could "imagine" colors, but don't say that stupid dream stuff.

Also although they can't see faces they can still feel the outline of your face, I'm pretty sure a blind person could draw you a square or circle on demand, even though he never saw one.
