The game would be an RPG. I have the whole storyboard planned out.

The main character is an everyday, average highschool kid. (He'd be named by the player.)
The party members consist of a rich college girl who has all sorts of gadgets loaned by her dad (Alicia), a somewhat depraved university professor with access to all sorts of whack-ass potions (Dr. Mortis), a phantom knight from the middle ages who is experiencing culture shock from being recently revived by mysterious forces (Solrux), a strange, wise-cracking construct built by the main villains who turns over to the good side and has infinite elasticity due to his bizarre genetic makeup (Football Head), and a mind-reading coyote with mystic powers (Coyote).

I have drawings of Coyote and Football Head, but they're elsewhere ATM.

Battles rely heavily on blocking and deflecting.

The 4 characters in the party have "boxes" on the bottom of the screen like in Earthbound and Mother 3, but the difference is the enemy attacks telegraph and target specific characters. When the attack touches the character's box, you can press a certain button (a different one for each box to keep it challenging) to deflect the attack.

It starts of pretty small (like punching a snake instead of it biting you), but by the time you reach the final boss he's hurling fucking meteorites at you for you to bat back like a baseball.

Why not something creative like a six-headed zebra from another world who crashed into the ocean and discovers that Atlantis has been taken over by the evil Dolphin Wizard who has cursed the mer-people to live their lives in reverse (from death to birth similar to Benjamin Button) and the only weapon he has is a piece of metal from his ship that he has fashioned into a spear.

Not to hijack this thread, but I am also working on a game.. one day... one day very very far from this day.

I gotta get a lot faster at art, it takes me days to get one character with mediocre quality. Is it even possible to git gud with just paint.net some college and a mouse? I cant stand tablets.
