In Halo 2, in the room in High Charity where there's a pair of large lifts (Also the room where Arbiter was tortured I think, there's a chandelier hanging overhead.
The chandelier displays a bunch of large shards of glass, each taken from every planet the covenant has ever glassed.

In OoT, in the shadow temple there is a torture rack where navi comments that the blood is fresh. Impa is the only one to recently go into the temple barring link himself. As most the other sages seem to dienin their respective temples, its safe to assume Impa was the one who was caught and tortured before dying and awaking as a sage

there's plenty of explanation but when archadia occupies Mt Bur-Omisace in FF12, Gurdy isn't near the chocobo pen. If you manage to get the right angle panning the camera up to the sky you can see her flying around in the air trying to avoid soldiers. I do think it's a very subtle little touch. There's probably a million things in FF12 that are thread relevant but I can't think of any right now

Is there even a shred of evidence that sages need to die to "become" sages? Seeing as there's a revolving door of sages throughout the seriesand ganon killed one in TPI figure sages are mortal and new sages come and go all the time. The only sage who seems to be killed in OoT is Nabooru, who could just as easily have been captured, while there's no indication Impa, Saria, Darunia, or Ruto die, not to mention Zelda is a sage too and is most certainly not dead.
