Considering how both took a long time to make, which one will ruin their series harder?
DOOM.
Doom is a venerable IP in the industry with a strong legacy that sprung up a new genre (yes, I know it wasn't the first FPS).
FF is just an RPG series and its name has been dragged through the mud for almost a decade already.
FFXV can't be any worse than FFXIII.
Jury's still out on D44M. At worst it'll be mediocre.
Final Fantasy has ranged from bad to shit for 16 years, FF XV can't do anything to make it too much worse. So I guess DOOM.

You just can't compare the two.
Doom is guaranteed shit 200%

Ask again in half a month or so assuming id ever gets around to actually showing what they've been working on.
Can't ruin Final Fantasy any more than it already is. Though the series continues to prove me wrong about that.
Doom's already confirmed to suck.
XV is the second coming of jrpgs and is going to BTFO of most of the competition this year. The day of reckoning approaches, /v/'s collective asshole will never be the same.
Another thread hating Doom?
Geez, if the beta is garbage, fine. But at this point shitting on it is a fucking meme.
XV. Square needs to realize we want either medieval fantasy or cyberpunk... not whatever the fuck X, XIII, and now XV are.
Doom was always going to suck. It had Bethesda's name on it.

None.

>XV is the second coming of jrpgs
They never died. Squaresoft is not all JRPGs.
>>334635000
XV because it was much more costly to create.

He's right though. Nothing quite like it at all.
>>334637189
is this dragon quest? I've always liked the 'traditional' idea of a jrpg where your party runs from medieval-like towns to grassy fields fighting monsters.
>>334636680
I made a quarter pie.
>>334638881
Yeah, Dragon Quest II at the top, Dragon Quest VIII on the bottom.
>>334635000
After the XIII trilogy and XIV (although they did manage to fix that) it's impossible to go anywhere but up.

>XV is the second coming of jrpgs
I'm looking forward to it too but let's not get ahead of ourselves now.

>we

Yes it is. And to some extent, that's what Dragon Quest does. Though its style has changed over the years. The more recent main series games are set in a late Victorian style world (1700-1800s). And some of the side games are even more of a modern world with Dragon Ball style gadgets.
It's looking like Doom

The name may have changed but Final Fantasy XV is still a Final Fantasy XIII game.
