How come the 1-2 pattern did not work here? I'm still learning this shit and I got screwed over numerous times because memorizing these patterns is confusing.
protip: after you marked a mine, middle click the numbers around it to clear safe blocks.

Oh shit I think I figured it out. Because the 2 already had a Mine flagged, there was no possibility of there being a mine above the 2 because the 2 would then have to be a 3. Shit.

That upper 1 in your circle tells you that there's no mine in the square above the mine you hit, and the 1 below would tell you that the mine is there if you had clicked the previous square.

Look at the 2, exactly two spaces above what you clicked. The space underneath it was empty.
Now, stop trying to "memorise" things, and use your brain to work things out.
