This is the worst designed boss fight i have ever played in any game. The lunge it does in it's second phase is LITERALLY impossible to avoid. I'm not over exaggerating. Look into Wild and Nioh. And keep in mind that with Bloodborne's success and Sony's habit of remasters, I'd bet that Demon's Souls HD will happen at some point.
Though with the lastest firmware update, remote play via PC is possible now. So if you have a friend with a PS4 and Bloodborne, you may be able to find some way to make that work out in your favor. I dunno the specifics. Worth looking into.

Rom's fought usually at about level 60, up to the end of the game is 70-90.
Doing the low depth Chalice Dungeons is like 80-120, but experienced people do it low to twink.
DLC is also 70-90 similar to endgame.
A recommendation, level VIT to 45-49. Don't be that idiot who thinks "I'll just learn to dodge better".

To get to Rom, you have to go through Snake forest, the forest full of way too many snakes. While doing the Woods, you can also unlock access to two bonus areas that are also level 60ish.

When I fought her I circled around back and got caught between her split tail. Every time she tried turning around I moved with her so she never hit me once. Was a total fluke, but I rolled with it.
Wanna breeze through Bloodborne? Level Vitality, and stop dodging badly. Sometimes it's better to just take the hit. You carry enough healing by default to fill your entire life bar 9 times. Her charge kills people because they try to avoid it at ranges where they can't, and eat massive counter-hit damage as a result. Just take that shit on the chin.

Now if you were talking about Ludwig--that literally took me two weeks to beat, or even Logarius, you might have something there. But I literally beat Ebby in three, maybe four tries.
