ITT: We come up with absurd ideas for video games that no one would ever play.

you literally have to design your own weapon
>what its made out of
>its physical shape
>joints/rope/chain is any
>how to hold
>how to swing
All in physics based combat

This is a thread about stuff people wouldn't want to play.
>>
>>334568157
it's beyond levels of toribash level complexity
not to mention no one would ever make it and if they did it would lag to shit
>>
>>334568102
thats playable
>>
>>334568268
Some people would play it simply out of curiosity regardless. Like how people play Big Rigs, it's absolute shit, but some people need to experience it for themselves.

VR automotive mechanic game, set in a REALLY shitty repair shop in Kentucky. You only get to service old Buick LeSabres, Fieros, and F150s.
>>
>>334568482
That kinda gets me thinking. Why haven't we tapped into educational games for the VR meme yet?
>>
You must type words and draw things to those words, the system will arbitrarily decide (randomly) if you won or lost the game. Losing the game causes epilepsy-triggering flashes and nausea-triggering rotations

It's a V.R. only game, yet it works with no motion controllers, or any controllers, for that matter.
>>
>>334568558

normies don't want anything but FPS and meme games

you could make over $10000 if you made a game in unity where you press a button and the doge face pops up, with oculus rift support
>>
Cute girls MadWorld
It's exactly like MadWorld except all the bosses and yourself are incredibly cute "I want to protect that smile" tier Lolis.
Until you brutally dismember every single one of them.

NEET simulator 2016 where you just sit on your computer and watch porn, fap and eat junk food

Someone will make this and it's going to be memegame, and makes millions
>>
>>334568663
But there's so much more to society VR can help with.
You could run accurate surgery simulations with just monitors and programming.
You could learn how to fix a car.
Practically every service-related job could save millions on equipment for training in exchange for a few VR headsets.

trust me man i love the idea too, but the market share isn't there to get a dev team to make these sorts of games and turn a profit for their time and effort

Fuck me I know what I'm doing with my life then.
Fucking cockbites only care about memes.
We can make a goddamn difference in the world with these stupid headsets and all people care about is let's plays and reddit.

fags that like lolis are probably all fags that like guro, so this seems like something that would have a pretty big fanbase

4chan simulator.

its actual good discussion, no memes, no images.

I don't know about you guys but I actually really like thinking about traditionally stupid ideas for games and wondering if there was some way, with enough creativity, to make it fun and stay true to the concept. I like thinking of the most mundane IRL situations as possible.

>Volunteer crossing guard game
Having to multitask between 4 streets, the cars in them and pedestrians walking, deep brooding story involving romance options and endings depending on your performance. Last boss/stage is something like during a hurricane.
>>
>>334569412
Actually most Lolicon prefer just cute stuff with their Lolis.
But like every other fetish bracket there are lolicons with less than vanilla tastes.
My personal favorite is lolidom just due to how entertaining a concept of a little girl Domming the shit out of someone is
>>
>>334569454
firewatch is already taking steps in that direction

It's a shooting game that simulates real gunshot sounds. Do you think that bubble will pop eventually? What do you think will take it's place?

>Accountant game
I think if done too literally it would just be a way more boring "Papers Please" but if you took a number crunching theme and made a puzzle game with it maybe something could happen.

You joke, but I'd probably like that game
This is coming from the same person who was addicted to Papers Please's endless mode
>>
>>334569930
That's why I find it funny.
And honestly you try to explain why you have your fetishes.
We can wait.
Most the time it's just what you find attractive. Not the lolicon's fault that's just how they think.

A military game so realistic that if you violate the code of military justice or any legal conventions that would be considered viable grounds for court-martial, your computer kills itself. Overheat the CPU, spin hard drive extremely fast, full voltage on everything.

Office Simulator 2017

A game where you work an enrty-level 9-5 office shift in real time, where 1 hour of it is boring paperwork/accounting/database entry, another hour is your lunch break, and the rest is idly occupying your own time trying to look busy because there's fuck-all actual work that needs to be done and you were only hired to meet your department's employee quota.

Successfully playing it requires you to put in the full 8 hours of playtime every day. Not being active and at your desk when the boss checks in is a strike, and too many strikes will get you fired. Making a mistake on your paperwork will get you fired. Not leaving a consistent record of your "working" activities will get you fired. A co-worker filing harassment against you will get you fired. When you get fired, you have to submit applications for a new job in real time which have a 1/2048 chance of being open, each with a 1/2048 chance of hiring you.

The game has a happiness meter that starts off pretty low, and you can make minor choices such as choosing where to go to eat, choosing which co-worker to talk to, etc. None of your choices have any effect on your happiness. Only little bursts of luck have any effect on happiness (finding a dollar outside, kind of tripping in the hallway, etc.), and the effect only lasts for 3 seconds before it reverts back to its original state.

I remember playing that an arcade once. You had to steer the dog while powering it by walking on the treadmill. If you didn't walk hard enough you'd lose since you'd run out of time
