I hear Winged Knights in Lothric Castle drop them, but it's very, very rare. If you're going to have a go at it, equip Crystal Sage Rapier as your offhand weapon, wear the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring and use Rusted Gold Coins to increase your chances of a drop.
In the road of sacrifice, there is a little castle portion with a black knight. There is a gate with a big crystal lizard behind it. How do I get there?

How's Dark this time around? I made a pyro for the purposes of using the dark spells. Heard it's not really worth it, but just looking for some other opinions.
And is the Dragonslayer Swordspear worth going for a Dex/Fth build? I've been seeing it around and it certainly looks neat. Was considering a rapier darkmoon blade character as opposed to my usual greatswords to mix it up.

There's a lot of bullshit you have to get through, but eventuallyafter you extinguish the flamesyou'll open a path. From there you have to find an entrance that's a little off to the sidenear some enemies in darkwraith armorand you'll see a bonfire.

if you want to finish Yuria's quest line, and get her armor, you need to finish the story.
After you finish the story and her questline, decline the offer to start NG+ immediately, go to Firelink, kill Yuria for her ashes, give em to the merchant, and buy them.
Then start NG+ whenever you're ready.
Is this an entrance to a boss? The last bonfire was pretty fucking far away and I'm not about to try and fight something with 2 flasks left and 11k souls.

From what I've seen it definitely isn't as good as 2s. I don't really remember much of 1s sets aside from Astora's set since it was the only one I used. I still like them though. My problem is that I don't have the vitality to use any of the ones I like so I just makeshift my fashion.
i am having trouble with the prince and nameless king fights, any tips other than dodge their attacks, i block them when i can't but since they have elements on their weapons it still does some damage

Bloodborne and DS2 both made you use the torch way more often, and it sucked. So yes, I'm loving that the torch has been given the minimal role it currently has.

Not even the guy you're quoting, but it's easy as fuck to get a huge HP bar, especially when you're in Ember form, and you don't even have to put that many points in it, whereas on the other hand, stamina bar doesn't expand as much when you put the same amount of points into it.

I'd love these upgrade paths they brought back from Demon's Souls if there were enough titanite shards to experiment with. Just did the cathedral of the deep, will I eventually get more souls? There are so many things I need to buy and I have virtually no souls to spend, all the enemies have been weak little shits that give nothing substantial from killing them.

Depends. What did you not like about DaSII? Because a couple of the last areas in the game are about on par with DaSII's worst.
First 80% of the game is great, if not quite as innovative as DeS and DaS. You'll have a good time. Bosses are way better than DaSII, that's for sure.

There's a shrine in the rat sewer in the undead village that you can pay a few thousand souls to completely erase your hollow. I was lvl 99 hollow and it only cost me 5k souls I think.

Honestly, I've done about half the bosses so far and most of them were very simple, especially the joke ones like the cathedral guy, and the crystal sage.

Never played a dark souls game and to be quite honest I don't care about the story, but from what I've seen around here - the game-play looks amazing - should I start with 3? I'm 100% into visual pleasures and game-play nothing else.
God damn, I hate the fucking dungeon with the Jailers. I'm still using an upgraded heavy long sword for my STR build, feels like everything else is too slow. Should I upgrade the dark sword instead?
Also, what's everyone's playtime so far? I'm at 22 hours. Still haven't fully explored a lot of areas. Having fun.
Did anyone else find this game particularly easier than the other Souls games? By the end of the game, I was nearly SL100, and I did no grinding whatsoever.

It's way toned down this time around. And the hitboxes are actually fucking superb. I found myself dodging attacks by a hair by just moving to the side, or getting lucky by being in the right frame of an animation. I'm actually a little stunned that some of the boxes are so tight. After playing DaSII and Monster Hunter, it feels so weird, like I've been trained to visualize every attack as a ten times wider than it should be.

Nah. The only overly difficult part of the Watchers is the camera fucking you over when it decides it needs to shift suddenly during the 2v1 or the second phase where nearly every single attack has a follow up.

The cathedral was ok. In retrospect it wasn't as bad as I had initially thought it was. The constant ambushes were fucking annoying though. Also any area that has things constantly dropping on top of you immediately make it on my detest list.

That weapon you have right there is a decent quality weapon. Possibly the most decent.
The refined infusion really makes a ton of shit a good quality weapon. But I don't know anything that hits as hard as a Longsword, as fast as a Longsword, with B/B scaling and minimal stamina cost. It's also probably the best choice for that particular fight, too, considering its relatively fast pace.

With 20 vigor and the like 40 fucking % health boost you get from being embered you get an enormous amount of health. You don't have to invest much at all to get that high. I have like 15 endurance and 20 vigor and my ratio looks about like that when embered.

I put some points into atunement, got the atunement ring, and put a little into int and faith so I could use pyromancy and a miracle or two and then use deep protection for those buffs.
Not the best weapon variety, but being able to use poison mist to fuck with people, following up with deep protection and exploding fireball is great.

At some point I had a Heavy Dark Sword and the Wolf Knight Greatsword both one step away from being maxed out (both needed a titanite slab), and the Dark Sword did slightly more damage. Dunno, but the Lothric Knight sword seems pretty good for quality. At +6 it normally has D/C scaling I think, but if you made it quality both go to B.
At +10 its c/c normal and b/b refined. Heavy goes to A/- Sharp goes D/B. Actually unless you're quality or like 10 str 40 dex it's probably not even worth infusing. Gains S scaling on faith with lightning though apparently
